Baldr keeps an eye on the activity on deck, and shakes his head.
Naval life was far from appealing, either on the seas or among the stars.
His Terminator armor, a particularly ancient piece of equipment, groans as he turns to look at the men, and he speaks over his vox-caster.
'We're preparing to leave, so we've come to let you know that we won't be running patrols in the outskirts any longer.
I'm not privy to the reason for our leave, but I'm almost positive that Sigmar has tired of fighting on Terra, since our friend among them has disappeared.'
English
-
'That it does. Sigmar has ordered the Chapter to stand down, and prepare to leave for Jotun. He ordered me to leave the news with you, and to let you know that Caliph will also be abandoned, so that you can adjust your plans accordingly.'
-
'Its just as well that we aren't Imperials. We try to think about things before we leave a theatre of war, as such we deemed it necessary to inform you of the change, as walking up to Imperium Command would likely have ended in a fight.'
-
Not to sound rash, but the Imperium is rather... Divided. Some of you are tactical, you understand the value of men and resources, and others seem to think they can constantly rush and waste lives to achieve victory... Sad that the ones lacking sense and knowledge find their way to the top.
-
'Thats the issue with large groups, they lose track of where the effective leaders are, and substitute them with the inexperienced. Thats why our Chapter is democratic in our decision making, since its our lives on the line. Another issue with the Imperium at large is its lack of decency.'
-
'I was speaking of their mistreatment of citizens of their own domain. I'm certain you've seen this for yourself, or have at least heard stories. Decency isn't meant for the battlefield, the closest it comes is honorable duels fought between two foes, but those rarely ever happen.'
-
'Unfortunately, the majority of the citizens have no means of retaliating. Even the ones that do would have a hard time bringing about change, considering the Inquisition can just destroy the planet and remove the event from the Imperiums records. Unfortunately for this discussion, I've got to pack my equipment, so I suppose we'll leave it here. Fight well, or may your death be swift.' With that, his armors joints heave as he returns himself to the dropship. After he boards and the ramp closes, the dropship jumps to life and lifts itself from the deck, before leaving at a relatively slow pace.
