Let's see someplace that has gun control, the UK. In 1996 they had a ban on hand guns. At the time of the ban homicide rate was at 10.9. After the ban the homicide rate rose till it peeked at 18 in 2003. As we see it didn't help lower any murders there.
Want more proof? Since 1950 all gun related murders have been caused at an area where guns are not allowed. As we can see law breakers won't change just because they aren't allowed guns.

작성자: OurWildebeest 11/9/2015 12:46:00 PMThere is a guy on the forum who will reply, quoting you and separating each sentence into a separate quote box, inserting a few thousand words and some links between each quote, in a verbose fit of denial. The lack of any clear success of gun control at reducing crime, anywhere ever, requires a great deal of rationalization and "baffling them with BS." Every government wants gun control because gun control makes the people weaker and the government stronger. It is supported by people who share the goal of stripping the people of power, but mostly by naive people who fall easily for slogans and propaganda. Governments will never stop trying to get more power, so the people can never stop pushing back to preserve their liberty.

작성자: Flee 11/9/2015 1:08:19 PMI really have started questioning your intelligence. I have proven you wrong numerous times on numerous of your claims by providing superior sources than your half-truths, yet you are so in denial that you can't even recognize simple truths. I genuinely thought you were capable of having a proper discussion on this topic at first, but then you make claims like "if it actually requires research and explanations, it cannot be true" or "numerous governmental institutions, esteemed academic research facilities and reputable researchers contributing to the most influential peer reviewed criminal justice journals in the world are wrong simply because it doesn't match my preconceived ideology". The saddest part is that you now feel the need to make these snide comments behind my back to try and somehow make a point. For someone with the clear potency of actually becoming educated on a topic and forming a reasoned opinion, you really don't make any effort to at least try. I don't even advocate that you or anyone else becomes a supporter of gun control themselves. I just want people to actually become educated on the topic. There are numerous reasons to support private gun ownership, all of which I recognize. But to deny that any sort of reasonable gun regulation is the devil's tool that is factually wrong despite it being acknowledged and supported by the vast majority of criminologists, jurists and experts of criminal justice? It's a shame you can't even begin to recognize that there might be some sense in reasonable gun control. Expecting an issue like this to be completely black/white is one of the most ridiculous things anyone can do. But I really got under your skin, didn't I?
