-cosmetics in destiny have no impact on ANY arenas, yet people use that as reasoning for why destiny sucks.
-Those people then point to halo as a superior alternative.
-Meanwhile, halo has microtransactions that DO objectively offer items that can be used competitively in game. Whether warzone is a competitive arena (to you) or not.[/quote]

1 답변It is actually super easy to get REQ points. It's actually so easy that I never even considered paying cash for it. I'm not totally anti bungie and did pay for some silver, but it should be possible to earn for free even if it is hard to do or capped at so many per week.
-
I have so many REQs in Halo I can't imagine why anyone would buy more - I have not even played that much and have not bought any. so far it seems by the time you can really use the higher level reqs, the match is pretty much decided so either way winning/losing it is pretty much "use it for the heck of it".

Here's the thing: yes, you can pay for them and yes, they can help you get ahead in warzone, but there is one problem: you can get customization in them and if you get certifications, you still need to play well to get the better stuff

1 답변In Halo 5, you can earn the microtransactions through playing the game and collecting REQ points. So, no, it's fair in Halo 5. In Destiny, there's no way to get silver unless you buy it.

It's funny that the same people who say that Destiny will inevitably become a pay to win game and bash it for that will blindly defend Halo with an obvious pay to win feature. They're both bad because they are micro transactions. Deal with it. Oh, and don't come to me saying you can earn REQ points. That's what pay to win is; you have a choice to grind or to buy to bypass it. Please get your definitions straight.

1 답변No one blames Bungie mate. Mostly at fault here is Activision. How else are they going to make money to afford paying $6billion to the Candy Crush creators?
-
3 답변Um Warzone yes I guess it's pay to win, kinda. Not really though cause a bad player is still a bad player. Arena absolutely not. Everyone's health is the same no matter what. Everyone starts with the same guns no matter what.

22 답변- You can earn everything in Halo 5. - You can't get everything in Destiny. - Halo 5 micros are used for funding future DLCs or some such thing. - Destiny's are just to get more money. They made more than enough to cover 10 years of their budget, but aren't going to use those profits on the game due to Activision and other factors. It's also no secret how interested Activision is in the freemium market, and the microtransactions that fuel it. Pretty much it. If you still have questions, feel free to ask.

4 답변Well we are getting free maps and free tournaments (confirmed), and we don't get ripped off because we use what we are given effectively instead of just dancing because you are on a 5-kill streak. I have not spend any of my money on REQ packs but I'm calling it like I see it.

1 답변People like to bitch, if microtransactions never came they'd find something else to go on about.

1 답변Anything you can buy in halo you can also earn through playing, the same is not true for destiny. If you don't pay, you can't get it. Also, halo is releasing all their map packs for free to counteract the microtransactions. Bungie is still going to charge full price for DLC.
-
1 답변But Halo 5 has ways to purchase those items without having to spend any money. Destiny is either pay for silver or you can't get anything and I believe that is why people are mad. Makes no difference to me though. If you wanna buy stuff, its your money, do what you want.

I don't support micro transactions at all but the way Halo 5s is organized doesn't bother me as much as Destiny. It may have been a different story if I were able to have purchased these emotes at the beginning of the game or if I were able to earn silver slowly without paying real life currency. Halo 5s micro transactions can be purchased without spending real life currency and don't give a noticeable advantage over other players. Halo 5 had planned to have microtransactions and I'm not quite sure they were always the plan for Destiny. Maybe it's just me but I feel like Destiny is simply trying to squeeze as much money out of their players as possible while Halo 5 leaves it as optional to spend real life currency to acquire the items in the packs.
