-cosmetics in destiny have no impact on ANY arenas, yet people use that as reasoning for why destiny sucks.
-Those people then point to halo as a superior alternative.
-Meanwhile, halo has microtransactions that DO objectively offer items that can be used competitively in game. Whether warzone is a competitive arena (to you) or not.
5 답변Yeah I've noticed people aren't really saying much about the micro trans that affect your gameplay in halo 5 But that a probably because the fans are too busy sucking 343's -blam- to actually say anything about that I'm not saying destiny is innocent, its also at fault But halo ain't getting bashed on as badly as destiny did And all bungie did were add emotes to purchase where as 343 made so many things that would actually Impact your gameplay

I understand where youre coming from bit this is how it is Halo micro transactions include buying req packs. For example you can buy a gold req pack for $2.99 or for 10,000 in game req points to earn 10,000 req points it will take about 5-6 games of warzone. Destiny micro transactions are some thing like 500 silver for $5.00 now its a reasonable price but the thing is there is no in game way to earn silver. Which makes destiny's micro transactions unavoidable if you want that emote. My point halo has a way to get around and avoid micro transactions. If just gives them the option if they want a pack faster they can and 343 can earn a extra buck. But bungie its more buy this or you're shit out of luck. Also supposedly halo is gonna have free dlc which lord knows bungie won't do mainly because of activision Hope this helped clear things up

So here's the difference, you don't have to pay a dime for req packs unless you want to. Destiny has no way to earn silver. Halo you earn req points every match you play which allow you to purchase req packs which (with exception of boosts) only hold content for one game mode. Warzone with or without the $2.99 price tag would be the same, you get power ups from req packs and use those once your team has reached the prerequisite level in a match of warzone. I'm not particularly fond of this because as of right now it's very apparent who spent a bunch of money on launch day to buy req packs because they were whipping out high level weapons and vehicles when their team gets into a spot (a tactic I expect of a losing team anyway).

The difference between 343 and bungie RIGHT NOW, is that 343 was upfront and honest about the micro transactions. And the price for the reg packs are not expensive at all. Bungie puts our the same thing for cosmetics only, and 6 bucks or so for 200-400 silver??? Really??

People are just looking for excuses at this point. My only issues are the nurf fest that's been going on Weapons Parts & Armour Materials 0 Drops in Hard Raid Glimmer Handcannons (so inaccurate it's sad af) Autorifles still being subpar... Of course focusing on the issues & asking for a fix doesn't seem fitting. It would be so much better if people actually talkes about what's bothering them.

5 답변I've loved halo my whole life and I agree that REQ is an absolute crap system because it says that progression can quicken via real money transactions while Destiny's progress isn't inhibited by the micro transaction system

1 답변I'm sure somebody has already said this but you can earn currency in Halo to pay for REQs without using real money. Destiny its all cash, there is no way to earn "Silver" in the game.

5 답변I feel like the older generation of Halo players are too busy to play games and there is an increase of younger players. That being said it is prime time for 343 to incorporate things like micro-transactions and the newer generation of Halo fans who have only played a 343 Halo think it's the best thing ever.

Even of you did buy things for Multiplayer you still have to actually earn the points mid match before being able to call stuff in. Also they don't work in all gametypes and some are locked to specific ones on purpose.

I think a big thing a lot of people are overlooking is that REQs are only usable in Warzone. There are other game modes for the more "competitive at heart" players. It doesn't even take that long to get the points needed for gold packs. Plants vs Zombies had a similar point system that worked just fine. I've gotten lucky on the couple packs I've purchased and it gave me no clear advantage in any match.

12 답변Everything you can purchase in halo 5 you can earn in halo 5. What are you purchasing and earning? Access to a dice roll. Is halo 5 pay to win? No. Why? The key element is "to win". When purchasing a Gold or Silver req pack one can be lucky and receive a strong req card via the RNG. Does that req card guarantee that you will win a warzone match? No. Why? The variables are limitless. Example, spawn a scorpion acquired via paid for Gold/Silver pack in the middle garage in Stormbreaker and you can have that scorpion destroyed before you ever gain control of steering. Can you name 1 item that 1 person can use that can earn from 0 to 1000 points? Do wins in war zone mean anything? No, loss or win still provides nearly 2k req points. You can lose all night and still earn points open a Gold req pack as quickly as if you were winning all night. Warzone loss affect is only perceived on the individual's emotional level. Do wins in arena matter? Yes, they affect your rank. Do req cards influence arena. No. Can you earn what Destiny offers via micro transactions? No. Do those items affect game play? No. Is Destiny pay to win? No. Is it disappointing there is no earn path? Yes. Micro transactions with full disclosure of fund allocation isn't a bad thing. Sure it can be a slippery slope but over reacting before you reach that point is like crying wolf. Eventually when you are right no one's listening anymore.

8 답변When you complete a warzone match, you receive points.. probably 1-3k points or so. At 10k points you can buy a gold req pack. Or you can just buy the pack for $3. In Destiny, you get 400 silver for free one time. After that, the only way to get silver is to buy it. At this time, the only thing silver is used for is to buy emotes. See the difference yet?
Halo gives you the points to buy the packs for free. Destiny has no means of acquiring silver other than buying it.
It is because in one you can earn the points to get the items where in the other you cannot. butthurt vanity fanatics are just mad they cannot have everything they want instantly or for free. Several cod games were like destiny in the fact that they had things that could not be gotten in any other manner in the game. and some whined about it but not as much as is doing about destiny emotes.

You can still unlock most of those things by playing aswell which I like. It's just this community, they moan about everything. A large amount of dirt was dragged in when the forums stopped being policed like they used to be.

1 답변They also started off with them, Destiny didn't start off with micro transactions. That's why all the yr1 players don't like it
