So Halo 5 has microtransactions and people do not mind and is super fine but Bungie with emotes are the bad guys?

Halo 5s micro transitions don't really affect the gameplay and as of now neither does destiny's. Only thing I hate is how 343 only lets you customize your helmet and whole body set, I miss halo reach where you could practically make your own Spartan.

I don't like the Halo 5 req system. They said you could buy all the items not buy a random box of mostly garbage. They need to hybrid the system. Set req point values on certain unlocks like reach had and at similar cost values. Then keep the req packs in at the same price as is. So you can either save up a lot to get exactly what you want or spend a lot less on random chances.

I think you're combining different types of complainers into a single category? I mean if you know for a fact that someone has posted here about destinys micro transactions and then that same person has posted about how halos fine then I get ya. My monies on that these are all different peoples opinions. I don't care about it being in either game, but in halo I don't like the fact that my favorite armors and guns are acquired through RNG and not skill/objective based. Even if you grind the game and or pay money, you still might not get what youre looking for, no bueno

10 답변Well, first off, 343 hasn't lied to us about anything and they haven't tried to pull shady shit. Secondly, Warzone IS NOT competitive. Micro transactions only affect warzone and warzone is not a competitive playlist. Thirdly, micro transactions actually fund towards free DLC. That's confirmed. Fourthly, bungie lied to is and cut 80$ worth of content from us.

67 답변A few reasons this doesn't bother people: 1. Funds future dlc. 2. Currency is obtained easily through play. (even in game modes that don't use req items) 3. Req items are only usable in Warzone, and have level requirements, and the only way to gain levels is through Killing other players capturing bases, and killing bosses. Why some people don't like Destiny's model: 1. Will not fund future content. 2. No way to obtain currency without spending money. 3. No real reason for it to exist other than to milk money from players.

7 답변It's not that people like Halo 5s transactions, it's that the sheep are down-voting and hushing all the critics. Check out 343's video about the system. The cartoon one. They "literally" tell the critics to "shut up." It's a horrid system and is another reason why I'm glad I left after the tragedy that was Halo 4. If you want someone else to explain it better, go watch Angry Joe's review. His thoughts on the matter are more detailed than mine.

5 답변In all honesty I do think Halo 5 req packs are pay to win. And I hate it. It's really ruined my experience, and all I want is BTB especially BTCTF, but NOOOOO it has to be put into btb were I'll hardly play it.

343i confirmed that microtransactions are going to pay for everyone's new maps in the future so they wont by cutting up the player base like destiny does with dlc. also, part of the money goes to supporting eSports prizes. i get the impression bungies microtransactions are only going to be used to buy themselves nicer cars.

15 답변The halo fanboy will tell you that the REQ system is better than the silver system because you can get the same items from just playing the game. While that is true, it takes an enormous amount of time to earn enough REQ points to unlock the best packages. This is essentially the same grinding experience that the Halo fans are complaining about Destiny. In fact, I would say it is worst grinding because there is only a small handful of maps for the Warzone game mode. So you are playing on the same few maps for hundreds of hours just to get enough points to unlock a single package.

In Halo you can EARN these items by playing the game. In Destiny, there is NO way to earn it, it ISN'T going to fund future DLCs, we're still going to have to pay for new content. There is no reason for paid emotes to exist, other than to milk money out of people, it's really that simple, if silver was able to be earned through actually playing the game, nobody would complain. It's an obvious money grab that isn't going to fund any future DLCs, it's not going to create a better game for us, it's just a money grab, the faster people actually realize it, the better, they were counting on people buying every emote with the false assumption that it's going to fund future content, you'll see when you're spending another $40 for the next DLC, if there even is one.
