I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CURRENT SYSTEM JUST STATING AN OPINION THAT WOULD MAKE DESTINY BETTER TO CASUALS WHO LIKE PVP MORE THAN PVE BUT ALSO REWARDS THE BEST OF THE BEST
You go 9-0
You have been marked by the Eye of Osiris
Buff: You will only play against other players who have gone Flawless this week.
Buff: Character has massive light radiating from their head (bring back Nightfall buff animation)
If you can make it to the Lighthouse again you get much more rewarding gifts from Osiris. Like elemental primary/emblems/shaders
Buff ends at reset.
133,444 went flawless.
820,986 people played.
I will bet anything it drops below 800k this week. Bungies problem. We are just going to find a new game.
This would make matchmaking much much better at puting equal groups against each other
This would make players who have never been to the Lighthouse actually want to play.
Put non flawless players vs non flawless players.
Sick of people playing just to keep others from going.
Regardless of your opinion, thanks for the bump.
Best responses
If I considered myself one of the best. This idea would really appeal to me.
Pure competition only play against the best.
But from what I'm reading in the responses it's more you want to stop others getting to the lighthouse than you want to fight competitively.
Seems pretty childish to me.

I would just like to see the best Elimination players face each other.
It would be well worth watching.
It looks like the majority of flawless people would rather stop people getting to the lighthouse than fight other flawless. #cowards maybe.

I find it funny that those who have gone flawless and replied to this post have almost universally been rude and offensive.
What's so wrong with more people getting the chance to go to lighthouse? Why are the so called "elite" so threatened by this?

I agree, it would open up more opportunities for the people who didnt go flawless, to do so. And once that happens (if i was to go flawless). Id love to play against the best of the best. Brings more intense and fun competition.

Having gone flawless: I LOVE this idea. Not only do I get to show off that not only did I got flawless that one time (emblem), but I did it THIS WEEK (flaming head).
Not only that, but now I can compete against the best of the best and not destroy the balance of Trails by continuing to compete against scrubs who are already struggling.
I'm down to make trails more accessable. I think this is brilliant.

I think if you have gone to the lighthouse, you should never play a team that has zero lighthouse arrivals. I think rewards should scale acoordingly. I dont have the time (and this pvp is dreadful) to learn the minutiae of a map while being rap3d by "elites" its bad enough i cant get a decent team for oryx hm cp.
2 답변What if I'm the only one in the fire team with the buff? Are my friends screwed who will they play with then. Your idea is short sighted. ... but if all three had the buff
-
2 답변This wasn't my idea but it was a pretty good one People who go flawless should receive 310-320 gear at the light house chest. People who get to 9 wins but may have a loss still go to the lighthouse but will only get 300-310 gear.

3 답변작성자: gtmadman 11/7/2015 10:02:38 PMEDITED: (OP was a little harsh and realized it. The OP post was edited so I will as well.) The current system is okay but could be improved. Like the aesthetic buff.

2 답변
Challenge yourself. Prove that you are the best of the best. Not the best against us casual scrubs.
Prove that you're the best of the best by beating us, after all, that's what Trials is about, right?

5 답변Ever notice the correlation between having more wins on your card, the more red bars you go up against? Just sayin'.

Why am I carrying people? Why has crucible become so "Gay"?! Why do people lie about themselves? If your not that good, just admit it. At least I know what I'm working with. Sniping....ridiculous Shotguns....annoying Pulse rifles....annoying, ridiculous The only balance weapons are scouts and fusions. Auto rifles to an extent. The crucible is broken and I can see why people are start to leave Destiny. Most of the players are crucible players. Weapon balance is a joke and clearly whoever works at the weapon balance team don't know what the hell they're doing. Like do they really test these weapons and weapon balance patches out before shipping them in the next update? And don't get me start about The Taken King supers.

4 답변작성자: gcw0068 11/7/2015 6:33:22 PMHere's what I think: Each ToO starts normally. As teams reach the Lighthouse, they, for that ToO, are then only grouped with other Lighthouse- reaching Guardians (of that ToO). This has better rewards of course- they wouldn't have to be a whole lot better, but they'd still be better. And that means, for everyone else, as the week goes on and more elites head to the Lighthouse playlist, the better your chances are at reaching the Lighthouse itself. It would just take you a few days longer to do so than the pros, so those pros would still have the satisfaction of being the "ORIGINAL owners"

I am average and went to the Lighthouse last night....I was probably the worst in my fireteam but I was not useless. Communication, strategy, luck, and more luck..... We went 3 for 3 when it came down to a 4/4 tiebreaker game. Had a lot of fun. I think this version of Trials is awesome. Lighthouse is designed to be exclusive, it is not a problem that needs to be fixed.

As if the matchmaking wasn't enough of a failure as it is. Put all the flawless players in a matchmaking pool that's even smaller than the entire Trials pool. That's won't be laggy at all. Just make it so that characters that went flawless can't play Trials for that weekend. Done; let them cry.
And fix the goddamn lag. There is no other game that I expect to have garbage connection but this one.
3 답변Then just wait till Monday evening after all the players have went flawless. Get an easy flawless run against the newbies :)
-
14 답변EVERYONE will go "flawless" if you remove the winners from the game. This defeats the entire purpose of ToO. Learn to get good. I did.
-
1 답변Only reason less people played ToO is due to it being harder to get to max light. Pre-TTK you could easily use etheric light / armour cores and you'd be 34 within like 2 weeks of HoW dropping.
-
1 답변That's really sad if you play destiny only for the PvP....you're on the wrong game lmao..

I would like to see this, but more than anything, I would like to see people matched by skill instead of by number of wins on their cards. Flawless people can reset a card over and over just to -blam!- us up. I get that lighthouse is for the best, but how do you expect players to Git gud if they are matched with far better players? I think trials should match based on k/d and whether or not you've gone flawless before. This way, players are evenly matched and can actually progress and become better.
