I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CURRENT SYSTEM JUST STATING AN OPINION THAT WOULD MAKE DESTINY BETTER TO CASUALS WHO LIKE PVP MORE THAN PVE BUT ALSO REWARDS THE BEST OF THE BEST
You go 9-0
You have been marked by the Eye of Osiris
Buff: You will only play against other players who have gone Flawless this week.
Buff: Character has massive light radiating from their head (bring back Nightfall buff animation)
If you can make it to the Lighthouse again you get much more rewarding gifts from Osiris. Like elemental primary/emblems/shaders
Buff ends at reset.
133,444 went flawless.
820,986 people played.
I will bet anything it drops below 800k this week. Bungies problem. We are just going to find a new game.
This would make matchmaking much much better at puting equal groups against each other
This would make players who have never been to the Lighthouse actually want to play.
Put non flawless players vs non flawless players.
Sick of people playing just to keep others from going.
Regardless of your opinion, thanks for the bump.
Best responses
If I considered myself one of the best. This idea would really appeal to me.
Pure competition only play against the best.
But from what I'm reading in the responses it's more you want to stop others getting to the lighthouse than you want to fight competitively.
Seems pretty childish to me.

I would just like to see the best Elimination players face each other.
It would be well worth watching.
It looks like the majority of flawless people would rather stop people getting to the lighthouse than fight other flawless. #cowards maybe.

I find it funny that those who have gone flawless and replied to this post have almost universally been rude and offensive.
What's so wrong with more people getting the chance to go to lighthouse? Why are the so called "elite" so threatened by this?

I agree, it would open up more opportunities for the people who didnt go flawless, to do so. And once that happens (if i was to go flawless). Id love to play against the best of the best. Brings more intense and fun competition.

Having gone flawless: I LOVE this idea. Not only do I get to show off that not only did I got flawless that one time (emblem), but I did it THIS WEEK (flaming head).
Not only that, but now I can compete against the best of the best and not destroy the balance of Trails by continuing to compete against scrubs who are already struggling.
I'm down to make trails more accessable. I think this is brilliant.

I think if you have gone to the lighthouse, you should never play a team that has zero lighthouse arrivals. I think rewards should scale acoordingly. I dont have the time (and this pvp is dreadful) to learn the minutiae of a map while being rap3d by "elites" its bad enough i cant get a decent team for oryx hm cp.
13 답변Taking flawless players out of ToO is unfair. I've had to play against 1.3+ KD guardians who are experienced trials veterans in order to become flawless. Which is not a problem for me because I like to believe that I am at least somewhat skilled. If teams like mine were to be removed, the challenge to become flawless would be diluted. As more teams go flawless, the skill pool decreases. By the last day, teams will only have to compete against 0.45 KD teams in order to go flawless. This makes it unfair for those that had to play against better players. They're being punished for playing adeptly. You are virtually asking for a handout.

And of course you haven't gone flawless Which makes this post all that more ironic Because you say that we don't want a challenge But you're the one that doesn't want a challenge because you want all the good players gone

4 답변I was just talking about this with my ToO group. We always run into repeat lighthousers after our 6th win and it's not fun. I would be down for a buff that they get. It should also be account wide, and it should trigger if anyone in the fireteam has gone to the lighthouse. Should also reset for the next week, as well as give additional incentive to repeat lighthouse runs. If you're good at ToO, why not play in a bracket against other skilled players? Wouldn't that make a second, third, fourth, etc trip to the lighthouse even that much more rewarding?

I like this idea, the issue with it though is that it makes it so other friends just cant help friends period with it. I myself am pretty bad at PVP BUT I have friends who are pretty good also. I am not 100% helpless in PVP aand I do contribute but I will say , if it wasnt for the help of my friends I wouldnt have made it to the LH in Y1. I havent bothered with Y2 mainly because I was disappointed in the fact that there is no weekly armor piece. I really like the Titan helmet and had a bunch of 310 exotic helms ready for it. Now it's just even more RNG then we already have with the drops. Though I did love the 310 INT/DIS Dregden Yors Rose I was able to make when I turned in a bounty that droped it at 307

Back when ToO gave out elemental primaries, I felt a little bad that I'd never go to the lighthouse. But now, who cares? Let ToO be the domain of the 'elite' players who are ripping on you in this thread. Clearly it was designed to make those players happy. There's plenty of stuff for the rest of us to do.

1 답변I don't care either way TBH. When running with my team we 5-0 4 flawless teams alone. The other two were Y1 flawless

I really don't feel like trials is that hard. Let's be honest here, going flawless is basically pointless now. The weapons are exactly the same as the weapons you get from the bounties or winning 7 matches. The only difference is they have one extra perk, and the word "adept" in their name. No point. The bounties are the only thing that really matter. And you don't even need to win matches to complete them.

37 답변As a Defender of the Lighthouse, it is my job to keep people like you from going to Mercury and seeing the fascinating things that only the elite have earned the right to see . To all my fellow Defenders , lets make it a point to stay active in trials this weekend , and keep Mercury Safe !

1 답변I was a pretty good contender in year one. I honestly suck at year two crucible. Sure I have my moments but nothing feels the same. I hate it.

1 답변Yes Im not the best crucible player but I manage , my teammates how ever ....they need this. We lost so many games and I was almost always #1 , made me frustrated af.

My problems with trials is I can get to 7 wins easily, but by the time I get to 8 or 9 I run into a lagswitcher. From round 7 on it's always an intense match up running 5-4 or 5-3 for the win or loss, but as soon as we get 4-4 they always get a player that drops to red bar, runs in place, and a few seconds later we all die or nearly die... Makes winning the final round extremely difficult and not in any legit skilled team sense... Maybe it's just the times I'm playing or bad luck in matchmaking, but last week and last night I had the same problem at round 7... It's a buzzkill for sure when you have the opportunity to go all the way for the lighthouse, just to get insta killed by a cheater and shut down our chances. Last week we made it to 8. Lost our mercy in a legit match and then lost our next round to the same problem. I only get one or two tries Friday night and one or two on monday night so when I run I to this, it literally kills my chances for the weekend.

This completely gets ride of the point of going "flawless" It's meant for the top pvp and not the casuals. You get all of the gear after the games regardless if you go flawless or not as well as getting the gold and silver packages. You also dont get any specific gear from the lighthouse except an emblem and an almost identical gun that can drop in the game with the word (adept) next to it. Essentially the same thing as getting a normal trials gun and infusing it with a hard raid primary gun.

2 답변What if I'm the only one in the fire team with the buff? Are my friends screwed who will they play with then. Your idea is short sighted. ... but if all three had the buff
