Apperantly I got banned by a bungie security enforcement person because i have a bad connection. This is how it went.
I went on lfg and found a team most likely from U.S.A. and started playing with them for the first whole game i had a red bar which wasnt fun for me or the people i was playing against. I said i would give it one more game and if it was lagging then aswell i would leave it for a couple of hours. I am from rural Ireland which means I dont have a good connection the best of days i would have 7mbs download speed with 1.5mbs going into my xbox as my two brothers and my sister are also using it. Today I had 600kbs.
For the next game i came up against a person with the bungie emblem . We beat them by a few rounds and i had a red bar the whole game through. I was being shot through walls bullets not registering and people dying a good few seconds after i shot them. I strongly believe that the exact same thing was happening on the other end. This is why there was so much uproar . after the game was over i left my group as i decided i was too laggy to play when i got a message saying
Him:network manipulation is a bannable offence enjoy
Me: i just have a bad connection
Him: As far as iam concerned based on what i witnessed you'll be hearing from us soon
Me: im from rural Ireland what do u want me to do
Him: dont cheat its only a one month ban
Me: i didnt cheat i just have a bad connection
Him: From my perspective you were maniplating your signal in an effort to cheat therer is no bargaining accept it and move on take your punishment and ina month come back and play without cheating good day
Me: do you have a kick messenger
Him: it really deosnt matter have a good day
Me: your perspective deosnt matter if its not right
Him: Perk of the job is my perspective is the one that matters
Me: wat job
Him: bungie security enforcement
Me: y dont you do your job properly and let me show you my connection to prove i dont cheat
Him: Accept the ban i have personally blocked you good bye
Me: ok ill capture this conversation and report you to whoever and get your responsibilities taken away from you your allowed to abuse power like this because you lost a trials game.
That was the end of it and i am posting this to make sure i dont get banned and to get this guys responsibilities taken away from him .
If anybody could comment on how i can get this to a bungie employee that would be very helpful

1 답변I agree with banning people who constantly lag, but this is going to cause some controversey. In this day and age most games are online only, and i am sure thats how it will be in the future. Will your bad connection keep you from being able to game period??? Only time will tell.

I have a fast connection, 20 mb/s I think, but in the morning and evening I am more likely to red bar due to network traffic being greatly increased. Late at night I usually have green bar all night. Most people may not realize that cable internet is fed from a single source that many people on the same nod are pulling from. Local area traffic can have a huge effect and may have nothing to do with how much someone is paying for their internet.

1 답변Why the f@&k should people with bad connection not be able to enjoy whatever game type they want to play. They pay the same money as you do. So all you idiots telling this guy don't play trials to ruin the experience. Tough luck. It's not his fault that bungie can't work out their s@&t. And to the people complaining about it, get used to it. It's not going to get any better.

1 답변작성자: firerange156 11/8/2015 5:19:54 PMSeriously!? My connection is only 3.6 download and 0.38 upload. Also, all these people targeting him, your Internet speed might not have anything to do with money. You either have fibre or you don't. It's about where you live and distance from the cabinet.

If your connection is bad you shouldn't be allowed to join the games, that is only fair, nobody else should suffer because of your bad internet in match made games. That said, the game should detect your connection speed and pings during matchmaking and refuse entry. If this message log is true, then the person who banned you has a serious attitude problem (or has maybe heard this excuse several times from other people) either way, it is entirely possible the fluctuating connections can be misinterpreted as network manipulation. Its a shame that your internet connection is poor and run into these problems, but keep in mind that xbox live (not sure about psn) only provides a certified experience for online gaming with the following minimum connection speeds Download speed: 3 megabits per second Upload speed: 0.5 megabits per second Ping: 150 miliseconds Anything below this and you are diminishing your experience as well as others. :-(

OP : "I live in Ireland and have absolutely sh*t internet, and I am fully aware of it. *Destiny is released* OP : "Oh look! A video game which requires you to be connected to the internet 100% of the time to play! What could possibly go wrong?"

I understand that you live in an area where you are unable to connect to a fast enough isp to play multiplayer without lag. I was taught that if I don't have something nice to say, don't say anything, BUT laggy players absolutely ruin the whole point of a fps mp experience. If you come on to this forum and expect us to feel sorry for you, you are completely oblivious.

If people are getting banned for poor connections cause bungie were to inept to put dedicated servers or local only matchmaking then that is pretty poor. And to the people on here saying people who red bar through no fault of their own due to bungie incompetence should be banned, your tools. This game was sold worldwide so should be supported by bungie worldwide and whilst the largest player base is probably in the USA without the sales numbers from the rest the world this game wouldn't have seen a second year.

Sadly enough whether it's true or not bungie did release a statement in one of their updates that stated something along the lines of those with unfortunate Internet connection will receive a temporary ban so they did warn you ahead of time so you can report them for fulfilling their promises. However I am pretty sure a representative from bungie wouldn't proceed to argue with a stranger or try to reason with them so idk what that guy was working for
