So today I finally bought Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition. I only got my Xbox One in August and it's been on my mind for a while to get it as I like Bungie, (Spending thousands of hours on Halo 3), I was just worried it was going to be difficult to get into being a noob. But the sales rep who played really sold it well, said this is the perfect time to get it as a new player then explained how year 1 players felt short changed when it came to pricing. So here I am. My destiny disc tantalisingly on 99% downloaded and about to enter the universe for the first time on my own.
Any advice? Shall I instantly use this upgrade to Level 25 thing? do the campaign solo to learn the game and level up further and get gear? HELP

Complete the campaign. Grab a friend. Given the fact that you're a new player means that there will be tons of content for you to do. After Regicide (final TTK story mission), work on reaching level 40, and then on your light level. Turn over to the Level 36 strike playlist, or Crucible (not ToO or IB just yet), then run Heroics once you reach light 260, and nightfall at 280, then run the raid on normal when you hit 290. Then you can get higher up by grinding the raid (normal or hard) and Trials. But if you're just doing this for fun and not serious, TAKE YOUR TIME. It's a really good community (okay, some people *cough COD players cough* are toxic, and some people are elitist, but there are plenty who are happy to help) Welcome, Guardian

1 답변Leave the Spark of Light to jump the second character you make. Enjoy playing through everything on the first and just let it rank up slowly. You will end the original story missions after 8..9 hours and will be at about level 20 and 100 light then.

Choose the class that best suits your game play. Also if in Crucible, watch out for shotguns and the lag (it's terrible when it happens but not always). Also use your spark consumable on a different character other than your original. You'll make lots of friends. Welcome guardian, have fun.

1 답변작성자: YoungChrisMott 11/10/2015 12:15:54 AMDon't use the Spark to lvl 25 on your first Character. Spend time researching the Classes now as they have added a 3rd Subclass for Year 2. Once you're happy, start fresh and level yourself up to 40. By then you should have at least 2 subclasses maxed out. If you use the Spark to level, you will be 25 instantly but will not have the Subclasses leveled up at all. These are what make a class what they are. Also, make use of the R3 in-game. When you see other players who are the same level as you, look straight at them and press R3. This will pull up a menu to inspect that player. Add them. Befriend them. Learn with them.

Sell it, and don't get attached. Unfortunately, I got attached, and I've been literally addicted to the game from last year. I'm hoping Fallout 4, and Battlefront pulls me away from Destiny completely. That won't happen though...
