According to Deej, 820k people attempted Trials this last round.
According to Bungle, 25 million users have registered.
That's a participation rate of less than 1 in 25, which shows the desperate lie of boasting 25M registrations.
Companies only spin the facts when they're scared.
WoW has 75M registrations, but 5.5M active players.
The fact that Activi$ion and Bungle don't share how many active players there are only confirms what we all know:
Destiny is dying.
I have a couple of issues with your assertions. 1. It is, entirely likely, that only 1 out of 25 people that are actively and consistently playing Destiny, simply opted to not play ToO. I know I didn't, and I know I'm not likely to hop back into the Trials any time soon. So basing Destiny's health on the participation of one event is pretty weak. 2. Depending on how active players are counted, the number could be misleading. I remember back in the Halo 3/Reach days, when people would check the current-to-the-hour number of players online and compare them to the sales numbers, coming up with what seemed like incredibly low player retention rates. The biggest flaw in this logic is assuming that every person playing at that moment comprises of nearly 100% of the people who play the game on a regular basis, ignoring the fact that not everybody plays at the exact same time. That's not even taking into account used copies, players who only played once, etc. 3. "Companies only spin the facts when they're scared" what are they, 12 year olds being confronted about homework? Spinning the facts to their investors, publishers and executives is something that would have a benefit. Spinning the numbers of event participation? I don't think anybody was expecting something like that to boost sales. Hell, even talking about sales figures and registration numbers are nothing more than bragging rights. When have you ever thought about buying a game just because it sold a lot?

They should take the Tf2 route. Enable Trading. Every 30 minutes you have a chance of getting a weapon or armor of your light level. It could be legendary or exotic depending on your level. The time maxes out at 10hrs ofc. Maybe introduce a few micro transactions for money's sake, but they are completely optional. (reskins, taunts/dances and cosmetic items only)
I'm sure this would bring at least a few hundred thousand players back.
30 답변For god sakes. Are people mentally challenged or what? Any game that has 25 million registered users is faaaaaarrrrrr From dying. Here's a news flash idiots! The game is two years old give or take. There are atleast two types of gamers I can confirm for sure. The ones who find a game they like and stay for the entire franchise no matter what happens and the other are the ones who play multiple games. What's happening here folks is some or most but not all are leaving and playing other games and WILL return when a new dlc drops. So, having said this, to all you assholes who are saying destiny is dead, pull your heads out of your asses. All you assholes who are complaining about dumb shit in destiny, here's your problem solver. If you don't like the game then quit! Stop ruining it for the people who love this game by crying, trolling or screaming nerf on the forums. Just GTFO! No one will miss you and no one will care. There...now all the AKA ASSHOLES are free to criticize my grammar or spelling all you want or whatever makes your sorry little self of steam rise.

1 답변I have yet to even try Trials, and I'm day one. I simply have no care for the pvp in this game. I do what I feel I must to acquire certain exotics. and I used to do some IB as well. Elsewise there is no need nor desire for me to ever play pvp. I know I am far from being special in this viewpoint. That's why Trials participation isn't higher. Not to say it'd be 4-5 million, but it would certainly be a fair bit higher if trials was actually appealing to more people.

12 답변I flat out stopped playing because I finally realized it's pointless. Why grind the raid? To get to 320? What's that do? Make the raid easier.....? Oh but I can play trials.....which is also totally based around light level.....which is used to do better in trials so you can get 320 weapons.....which is useful for....making trials and the raid easier.....? I made a comment about this earlier Destiny is a sinkhole of nothing. O could leave this game until the last -blam!-ing week of its existence and be max level before it shuts down at the rate it's going. There is absolutely no incentive to play. The point of grinding has disappeared because of them basing everything on light level instead of gear quality and literally just changing the -blam!-ing name and color of all the end game items. As far as having fun, that ship has sailed, the only thing destiny REALLY has going for it is it's Rng and those that play pvp religiously. Other than that, the content is stale, lacking and recycled. Im not going to endlessly grind to get totally pointless 320 gear when it makes no difference outside of the raid and trials(which are also solely designed to raise your level and nothing else, like wtf dude,no other incentive? Really?) especially when everything will be rendered a pointless waste and more than likely will be coupled by all upgrade materials once again becoming obsolete with a high chance of the way your level/gear acts being completely -blam!-ing different than it is now. It's my personal opinion but this game is a straight shit show. Play what you enjoy and have fun, but dear God. It's just ridiculous to me.

Dude what does it matter if Destiny is "dying"? Its a year old, supporting old gen consoles and using an old gen engine/coding. Its still the great same game that is getting new things added, if its not your type of game thats unfortunate, some of us still love and adore not giving a f**k about numbers. Numbers of players, sales, etc. Shouldnt make you feel different about something you have supported for a year enjoying the hell outta it. (If you haven't I have little understanding as to why you are; A.) On these forums. B.) Still playing the game. And C.) Trying to scare or make people "realize" whats happening. Like its so funny looking at the forums with people freaking out, Destiny is an awesome game and not to mention I love Bungie and hate Activision but I still love and play the fun addictive game of Destiny.)

6 답변Last I checked WoW was back up to like 9-10 million. At least Thy what I read last year, maybe this last expansion flopped? Trials isn't made for most players. I didn't even attempt it during HoW, I have it a whirl last weekend and was continually pitted against teams who'd already been to the lighthouse. It wasn't much fun getting stomped repeatedly, so I didn't put much effort into it. The raid also has relatively low numbers. A lot of people don't want to deal with LFG or don't have friends that play. Destiny is also a relatively casual game. The hardcore crowd is done a month after any new content is released, but they come back each time to see what's new.

Because skirmish sucks and there is no match making. Lack of an option for match making is the main reason people don't play certain aspects of this game like the raid, PoE and ToO. People shouldn't have to leave a game to find other people to play with in-game. I'm sure more people play IB for worse rewards than those other game modes I mentioned strictly because there's match making. Even though the rewards suck and it can be frustrating as hell.

Was gunna go flawless until a team of garbage players had to ruin our fun. 8 and 0 and one at a time me and my fire team were kicked from the game. This is after 8 striaght matches of flawless connection mind you. 2 baboons amd a caterpiller.

2 답변I'm a huge destiny fan and the player base is definitely diminishing. Takes forever to get people for raid groups compared to how it used to be, forums have been dying down, and if it wasn't for the excellent gameplay I'd be gone myself. Honestly, forcing me to do the exact same things every week to hopefully get better gear to do exactly what I just did the week before is just kinda getting old. It felt more worthwhile before TTK to do all raids and stuff, since at least in HoW everything was viable, but now if you're 310+, you're literally wasting your time by doing anything other than Trials/Kings Fall Hard. It's the only things that can give you better gear or even a way to upgrade your existing gear. I love doing things for fun, but I also have fun upgrading my person and making him stronger, and I can't do both of those in anything else. Haven't done but 1 Nightfall on Tuesday, completed Oryx on Hard, and have another CP for Oryx Hard and it's just not worth it anymore. I've completed everything this game has to offer (except Y2 Trials, though I have been flawless in Y1 Trials), and I'm just basically waiting for another good game to take me away from Destiny. It has ran it's course, and it's been amazing and I'll still play it for the time being, but this isn't where I want the game to do. All they did was make the grind 10x worse, and you can only advance if you get lucky and get a high light drop. I understand drops being RNG, as they should be, but the light being RNG also just means that you can get the piece you wanted 10x and it still be worthless to you. At least we knew in the old days that once a raid piece, we could get that piece to its full power with just some experience, we didn't have to infuse it with 2-3 other guns that had to drop at a higher light just for it to be viable at the highest endgame event. This wall of text isn't meant to condemn Bungie/Activision in any way or say "oh this game sucks stupid sheep why do you play this dumb thing still", just a dissapointed Destiny fan who sees that the game he is playing now isn't the same game he fell in love with.
