Well I don't think calling people something as politically incorrect as retarded, but you can do whatever you want. I'm not sure wether you thought about the fact that if no one in the US has gun, assuming it goes your way, and guns [i]will[/i] be smuggled in. No one will have a gun to defend themselves and by the time cops get there they will likely be many injuries or deaths. I personally shoot guns both recreationally and I also hunt. It's fun to go out and shoot targets with friends and to going out wait and shoot a deer to eat and if you get a nice one mount the head. I remember when my dad took me to go hunting for the first time not knowing if I'd like it. Soon we were going every chance we had. It became a great bonding experience for both of us. People are going to get their guns taken away without a fight. Here's what someone said that I agree with. Problems with your arguments: 1: criminals won't have access to them. Fun fact: heroin is banned. Another fun fact: heroin is still one of the most used substances in America. Same with guns. 2: hunting should be outlawed. Why? If you say it is cruel then I present two options, A: Deer thrive in central North America, and then are culled by their only predator in the region, humans. This means a quick and painless death. Or B: thousands of deer starve to death for lack of resources over weeks, and due to this all other herbivores in the environment suffer as well. Hunting still animal cruelty? Probably not, bud. And 3: recreational shooting is pointless. So are all other recreational things. You think surfing should be outlawed because it doesn't help anyone. How about knitting? What about boxing? For one banning guns will not stop criminals for owning guns. The only thing it will do is leave the good citizens helpless like they already are. Hunting has absolutely nothing to do with why we should have gun control and recreational shooting is just as pointless as say gaming or watching tv so that point is stupid as well.

We already have firearm control already in place. If you impose stricter laws and regulations, it is rather easy around them. All you would be doing is disarming the law-abiding citizens. It seems that most people don't understand what gun control is. Nobody is taking your guns away. You just have to get a background check. If you don't have a mental deficiency or a criminal record, you get to keep your guns same as before.
