Everyone is starting to look alike...
Even with infusion, there aren't enough gear sets to set people apart. I'm mainly a Warlock and all I see are the Bindcaster robes, Samasara, or the raid chest piece -- whether it's harrowed or not. Bindcaster helm, Light beyond Nemesis, the Stag or the raid helmet. So it's it's either full raid gear, full vanguard gear; either one of the two and an exotic helmet or chest piece thrown in.
Infusion is no good if you only have like 7 or 8 gear sets you can mix and match, and mix and match what actually has good stats and rolls and is only used in certain situations. I'm so happy I have the Trials chest piece. I infused it so fast I don't even remember what my old robes look like -- joking. I'm glad I haven't seen anyone with it yet. I wish I had full trials gear, but I suck...
I want to become legend. I want to build that legend. But it's hard with limited options unless you run around under leveled with rare gear.
This is what we have (just off the top of my head)...
Full sets: Bindcaster, Samasara (Vanguard), Raid, HM raid, Trials, Iron Banner (not readily available), Dead Orbit, FWC, New Monarchy (any of these if you actually pledged your allegiance or attempted the raid)
Exotic chest: Starfire Protocol, Voidfang Vestments, Heart of the Praxic Fire, Alchemists Raiment (granted you found the blueprints)
Exotic helmets: Light Beyond Nemesis, Obsidian Mind, The Stag, Skull of Dire Ahamkara (granted you found the blueprints)
Exotic gauntlets: Claws of Ahamkara, The impossible machines (granted you found the blueprints)
Strike specific: Devouring Maw and a pair of gauntlets (if you're lucky enough to get the drop)
It sounds like a lot, but it really isn't when you look in game. If we could equip more than one piece of exotic gear that would be amazing! But what about the missing / hidden exotic Warlock gear? The other helm, gauntlets and boots? On this website it shows all of the exotic Warlock helms as year 2... I wish they hurry up and bring them forward so we have more to choose from.
It sucks having to wear something you don't like just to avoid looking like someone else. I know Hunters and Titans have the same issues. What can be done about this? Nothing. Equip your favorite shader and accept that you're a twin, triplet, quadruplet, etc. I'd hope end game content wouldn't lead to this and it has. Bungie leaving behind year 1gear was a problem. Weapons are understandable. But the gear that defines us is useless if we all have on the same shit at the end. How can we "Become Legend" if we can't equip what sets us apart? Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe other Guardians only look alike because I own the gear and know how it looks. Maybe I'm just crazy.

EDIT: Some people agree, some people don't. We all have our opinions. Also, CE chest piece looks bad ass with The Stag, just saying.

I was going to do it, but I didn't want to take away your powers of editing in more content. As for the subject, I agree and disagree. Every single piece of Y2 Legendary gear is now valid, and we're seeing more and more being added. Strike gear, Raid gear (x2), Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, every faction, and who knows what else. I think once people start moving away from Raid gear since it's "safe" right now, being all they have that's high levelled, things will even out. Once people are more comfortable with infusing their end-game gear into lower-tier gear, there will be a visible change. Also, who knows what else Bungie will add. Though Festival of the Lost didn't add any armour with stats, it did add new stuff that no one saw coming. I'm very excited to see what else is to come.

1 답변Bungie just needs to re-introduce all Y1 vendor gear back into the loot table. As you said, we have around 8 sets to choose from. However, if they were to bring back Y1 gear we'd have around 28 sets of gear to choose from. (These numbers don't include exotics.) All they would need to do is bring them up to the current 280 attack/defense and rotate the vendors stock with Y1 and Y2 gear. I'll never understand why they insist on replacing content instead of adding content.

People just wear gear for max light and not perks (or because it's "pretty"). Light beyond Nemesis is by far the best Warlock helm being able to spawn more orbs and where reviving /being revived quick is a must; just like the Crest of Alpha Lupi for the other two classes. All exotics are situational, we know this, I just wish people varied their gear a little more. I had full Vanguard gear day 1, and I hated it ever since, because both sets look just like the Crucible sets; minus the very moot differences, and I had shit perks; hand cannon reloader / ammo, and I use everything but hand cannons, fusion rifle ammo, and I use shotty / sniper; heavy machine gun ammo, I need... I have a beast HMG, now... They need to change the perks back to primary, special, heavy ammo / reloader, so the perks are useful on all class specific weapon and not just class specific meaning you have to grind out other sets of gear just to get the perks you want. That's one of the issues, the grind is back and the drop rate sucks. With Y1 Starfire Protocol (exotic Warlock heavy / fusion ammo chest piece) I can carry 11 Sleeper Simulant shots; pretty OP. Lol. Very useful in none end game content, even in end game content at 290 this chest pice is still pretty useful... Just saying. There's so many other options, people just don't want to infuse and lose light levels. I still wear Y1 gear when I can like the CE chest piece or the Ram. I'm mad at myself becauseI had full DO gear (something to show my allegiance, and make look different and standout, I dismantled), I just didn't like the chest or the helm so I broke it all down. Lol. I do, however, have Y1 DO gear that I might rock when playing crucible. I still hate the helm and the chest piece, but I have two DO shaders. lets see how it goes. Lol.

2 답변There's so many things to mix and match and infuse though. You have trails, the 3 factions, the vanguard, the crucible, hard and normal raid, and even strike/boss specific gear. There are plenty of options to change the look of a character people are just choosing not to infuse. Mainly because high light level gear for now is few and far between. Give it time for people to stock up on infuse worthy gear then you'll see some changes for sure.

Yeah the solution to everybody looking the same was already found. People wore all kinds of different stuff in HOW. I think they were upset people didn't like the vacuum cleaner Titan arms or airplane helmet. Or the random balls on hunters knees and warlock arms. I had a good mix of IB, Crota, VOG, and Osiris gear. My characters looked awesome. Those days are long gone. Everything is less rewarding and more grindy.

Once people syart getting duplicate raid gear drops, the ones that want to look different will. Cause roght now, even if you have a 320 chest peice from the raid, infusing it into a vendor roll only puts it at like 290-300 ish. Adding another raid oeice then youl have it in the 310s

1 답변Having old Raid gear drop at year 2 lvl.. say 240 or 280 would be cool soo we can infuse it to a higher light level.. CE Warlock helmet was my fav. That would make old raids more relevant & more variety of gear
