343 Industries just pulled a year one Destiny
For those that have completed halo 5 campaign, surely you can empathise with me when I say, this is one of the worst endings I've [b]ever[/b] witnessed for a game with a seemingly good story to begin with.

This is what happens in the end mission:
(Catch up; cortana is evil. All you need to know)
> free Master Chief (As locke) from Cortana
> Cortana teleports away
> cortana terrorises earth in mass EMP
> basically your whole 'crusade' is pointless
> heroes survive
> story ends with chief and locke walking into a tent.
> unsc infinity warps away leaving earth (I think its earth, a populated planet anyhow) vulnerable
> Screen goes black.
> Credits.
THERE IS NO POINT TO THIS STORY OTHER THAN SAVING MASTERCHIEF (yeah he's kinda important) but literally nothing you do in the end effects the outcome of what would happen if you simply didn't bother.
Its late, I'm fuming and cant be arsed reading over what I just wrote. Ignore Grammar mistakes.

3 답변So this is a bad thing KNOWING that there is a 3rd game coming? We've known that this was a trilogy since day 1, and the story of Halo 5 fundamentally changes the entire Halo universe. How in the hell is that pointless? Do people hate Empire Strikes Back because it ends on a cliffhanger with no proper resolution? No, because people know there is another movie after it.

It's a saga. 343i said it themselves. They don't even know when Chief's story will end, and besides... [spoiler]When Halsey, Chief, and the Arbiter walked up to each other, that was one of the most beautiful moments in Halo.[/spoiler] Just like Halo 2's ending, it was a cliffhanger, yes. But that doesn't mean it's a bad ending. It would be bad if no other game came after it.

3 답변If I remember right when 343 announced halo 4 they said it would be the start of a new trilogy. They called it the reclaimer trilogy, so the hole "being upset about a cliffhanger" is invalid as it should be something EVERBODY should have seen coming. I certainly did. And I have to say the story was grand and dire. The feels man... THE FEEEEELLLLLSSSS.

I completed 7 missions on Wednesday (cause I was downloading the game Tuesday), and 4 more yesterday (since I was playing matchmaking with friends). I'm also doing this solo legendary. Halo Reach took longer and it has 11 missions.

작성자: StiviX 10/30/2015 6:59:33 PMAfter reading comments on youtube videos and on forums, I've noticed something about Halo 5 praisers/ Destiny haters: They rag on Destiny for tucking away lore in the grimoire cards, which are [i]free[/i] and readily available online for their viewing pleasure, but are perfectly okay with the fact that Halo 5's story is a plotholed mess that will require them to [i]purchase[/i] additional extended Halo universe media to fully understand. They can have their opinion of either game, I really don't care. But when they say shit like this it's no wonder this industry uses and abuses gamers.
