There's no place in destiny for rng based luck when you're dealing with real money. That's basically gambling. Younger sibling (who is a minor) spent well over $80 trying to get the blue Skull mask only to not receive it.
P.s. it was his money. Nobody is arguing for a refund. However, the question of whether a minor should be allowed to basically gamble their money away is being asked here.
P.p.s. It's a scumbag system period. It preys on individuals who are too naive to know best. It is a matter of ethics and clearly that is at the bottom of the priority list for any big corporation.
P.p.p.s. Ok this is a made up scenario lol. I just love this community <3 . Everyone jumping to insult a minor... you guys are the best.
I'm sure there are people who spent this much attempting to get the mask. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was a ftp game. However, most of us have spent $100+ for the game in its current state and bungievision still feels the need to implement a filthy cashgrab system like this? How can everyone be ok with this?
작성자: PsykoBeasty 10/29/2015 6:12:58 PMDo companies even have a legal responsibility concerning what children can spend their money on? Surely that stays with the parents. Parents should have put lock on the gamer account. I think even if it went to a lawsuit, the best u cud hope for would be a goodwill gesture. Judge would not side with u otherwise it opens door for anyone to sue a company for not getting an item they wanted from a random rewards package.

1 답변Every time I see a post like this I wonder: have you even gotten legal counsel on this? Because the day you actually do that is the day you pay someone for getting laughed out of their office. Don't be such an idiot.
-
1 답변Well didn't know that, but your younger sibling is definitely a patsy and shouldn't of spent real money for a purely cosmetic item. So it's all his/her fault that he/she fell right into bungies plan.

9 답변Somebody never played Mass Effect 3 multiplayer...... Lol, you sound like a jackass, though. Those were completely cosmetic, optional, purchases. Bungie never guaranteed getting anything, and they effected gameplay in no way at all. You wouldn't even have the grounds to hire a lawyer, let alone pursuing a lawsuit. Don't act like the idiot who sued McDonalds for spilling predictably hot coffee on their self. That's what you sound like right now.

4 답변작성자: DevGEM 10/29/2015 4:21:13 PMAccording to dictionary.com, gambling is the activity or practice of playing at a game of chance for money or other stakes. Purchasing a mystery bag is not a game of chance. It is a blind bag. You do not get rewarded money for it. It is a blind bag. The possible contents are listed of what you might get, but again, it's a blind bag and not a game of chance. By your logic, anything considered remotely akin to a blind bag (whether real or digitally constructed) should not exist.

3 답변First off I've gotten two skull masks and secondly there are numerous games where you buy rng packages EA has been doing it for years, get over it...

1 답변작성자: McGibblet 10/29/2015 4:43:56 PMHow does a minor have a credit card? And why didn't this hypothetical kids parents set up the parental locks. So that he can't make purchases without their approval.
-
4 답변Youre a moron and a troll, and it is obvious that the fake minor is you. The package description clearly states it is randomized, and you are buying a class of item, not the item itself. I am vehemently against RNG for real money, but your post is a very poor attempt at attention grabbing. Law suits aren't a joke.

2 답변I never have and never will pay for rng. I'll pay for something if it's a guarantee, take the thriller dance, I bought that, but it wasn't a chance, I got exactly what I paid for. Paying for rng is asinine.

So if you go to Walmart to buy a pack of trading cards, hoping for the one you need, and don't get it, can you sue Walmart? No! Stop with this bullshit. You have the right to buy the pack, you're guaranteed a mask, you're getting one. Just because it's not the one you wanted, doesn't mean it's illegal.
