Gambling for the blue skull
There's no place in destiny for rng based luck when you're dealing with real money. That's basically gambling. Younger sibling (who is a minor) spent well over $80 trying to get the blue Skull mask only to not receive it.
P.s. it was his money. Nobody is arguing for a refund. However, the question of whether a minor should be allowed to basically gamble their money away is being asked here.
P.p.s. It's a scumbag system period. It preys on individuals who are too naive to know best. It is a matter of ethics and clearly that is at the bottom of the priority list for any big corporation.
P.p.p.s. Ok this is a made up scenario lol. I just love this community <3 . Everyone jumping to insult a minor... you guys are the best.
[spoiler]I'm sure there are people who spent this much attempting to get the mask. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was a ftp game. However, most of us have spent $100+ for the game in its current state and bungievision still feels the need to implement a filthy cashgrab system like this? How can everyone be ok with this?[/spoiler]

Parents should have put lock on the gamer account. I think even if it went to a lawsuit, the best u cud hope for would be a goodwill gesture. Judge would not side with u otherwise it opens door for anyone to sue a company for not getting an item they wanted from a random rewards package.

Bungie never guaranteed getting [i]anything[/i], and they effected gameplay in no way at all. You wouldn't even have the grounds to hire a lawyer, let alone pursuing a lawsuit. Purchasing a mystery bag is not a game of chance. It is a blind bag. You do not get rewarded money for it. It is a blind bag. The possible contents are listed of what you might get, but again, it's a blind bag and not a game of chance. By your logic, anything considered remotely akin to a blind bag (whether real or digitally constructed) should not exist.

2 답변I never have and never will pay for rng. I'll pay for something if it's a guarantee, take the thriller dance, I bought that, but it wasn't a chance, I got exactly what I paid for. Paying for rng is asinine.

So if you go to Walmart to buy a pack of trading cards, hoping for the one you need, and don't get it, can you sue Walmart? No! Stop with this bullshit. You have the right to buy the pack, you're guaranteed a mask, you're getting one. Just because it's not the one you wanted, doesn't mean it's illegal.
