There's no place in destiny for rng based luck when you're dealing with real money. That's basically gambling. Younger sibling (who is a minor) spent well over $80 trying to get the blue Skull mask only to not receive it.
P.s. it was his money. Nobody is arguing for a refund. However, the question of whether a minor should be allowed to basically gamble their money away is being asked here.
P.p.s. It's a scumbag system period. It preys on individuals who are too naive to know best. It is a matter of ethics and clearly that is at the bottom of the priority list for any big corporation.
P.p.p.s. Ok this is a made up scenario lol. I just love this community <3 . Everyone jumping to insult a minor... you guys are the best.
I'm sure there are people who spent this much attempting to get the mask. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was a ftp game. However, most of us have spent $100+ for the game in its current state and bungievision still feels the need to implement a filthy cashgrab system like this? How can everyone be ok with this?
1 답변Runescape did this also 4 years ago. Destiny's one is not as bad as theirs goes. The reason they get away with it is that it isn't gambling in law and by the stupid old generation who manage them. We had people try to sue but what happens is that you are getting something in return regardless. Doesn't matter if it was 1 glimmer even, sadly that is all that makes it legal. Some games use a good system like mass effect 3 did, others like this milk the shit out of you with snall chances

작성자: LibGuy 10/30/2015 5:33:43 AMPrize, chance, consideration is what you need for something to be gambling. You might have the chance and consideration, but I believe video game companies usually argue that there is no prize since all you're getting is the ability to use some pixels that you don't actually own anyway. Bungie could argue that there's also no chance since you get exactly what you pay for (a legendary mask). It's us, the players, who want exactly the flaming skull. It's actually an interesting subject. Not so much this Destiny thing, but take a game like FIFA ultimate team. I've probably spent $5000 opening packs in that game over the years. I can afford it, but there are plenty of kids who can't and who spend way too much money playing that game. You could make a pretty strong argument that a game like that is basically gambling aimed at kids.

Anyone that pays real world money for rng drops is a TOTAL SUCKER, and they deserve to have as much money vacuumed out of their checking account as bungie can take. It's such a dirt bag move to make it an rng drop, it really is scumbag of them Personally idgaf, i would never spend rwm on something like this, but they shouldve just offered to sell it for a dollar or two, not random.

1 답변1. If you agreed to terms of service for PlayStation and Bungie, your chances of s successful lawsuit go down significantly. 2. This type of system exist everywhere and is legal, there aren't too many ways to get around this, so the best thing thing to do is avoid paid rng.

1 답변작성자: PlayerGuts 10/29/2015 6:52:34 PMThis game is rated T for Teen. Teens don't have credit cards.. so they ask their parents for permission. It's not Bungie's fault, the teen is addicted to Destiny.

3 답변All this says to me is the minor has poor impulse control and is trying way too hard to get a certain vanity item. That's unfortunate, and you should have dissuaded him from doing that. You're supposed to try to get it from filling a bag of candy, not purchasing boxes with Silver. As I always say though, the lazy idiots will always try to pay for random prizes instead of patiently trying to get them by actually playing the game...
