I saw this video recently and it kind of cemented some misgivings I've had about the Traveler, and especially the Speaker, since day one. For one thing, think about the last mission of the main game, what exactly are we doing? Busting into someone's house gunning them down WHILE THEY'RE PRAYING, and then killing their god all because the Speaker said do it. And this kind of scenario happens A LOT throughout the game. Think about it, how many gunfights have started with you shooting someone in the back of the head while their praying? This is not a thing good guys do. Let me know what you think, but I'm pretty sure we shouldn't trust the Speaker.

4 답변No i think that nobody is inherently good guys or bad guys. Just a conflict of interest.

1 답변I mean several times we've just slaughtered enemies who were praying, and killed Oryx's kid. Wouldn't be entirely surprised.

Honestly I am not convinced for this one reason: he is trusting this unknown flower is this unknown guardians dream and this random guy on the Internet. Other than the godly sphere above us that only did good to us, and the speaker that have lead us to NOT dying. And also I'm a mindless killing machine killing OTHER mindless killing machines

2 답변The fact that the Hive has genocided entire solar systems eliminates this possibility for me. Humanity is only their current conquest. Yes, the Speaker is mysterious and distant. But I hope that Bungie doesn't make the Traveler the villain. That plotline of "surprise" betrayal has gotten so old. The Fallen are a bit more complex, but they have still been trying to murder everyone in the city for centuries. They may not be the irredeemable villians that the Hive are, but they are certainly still bad. The Cabal are conquerors, plain and simple. They want to kill us and claim our system for the empire. Does that make them evil? Probably. Does it make them a necessary enemy that must be destroyed? You bet. The Vex are so alien, that trying to understand their way of thinking is nearly pointless entirely. However they are also doing their best to destroy us -worse than just kill us, but erase us from reality altogether. Are they evil? I expect so, but regardless they certainly are trying to kill us as well.

1 답변Good and bad is purely a matter of perspective. Pretty sure Oryx thinks we are bad, but because we think he is bad we disregard his view

1 답변Also in that video a trapped ghost says you are a dead thing creating death with an army of death. This is a place of life.

Ugh this theory is getting old. How do you explain the light? Are you aware that the Traveler has been fighting the Worm gods for millions of years on Fundament after the Hive broke their seal? After the Hive killed the Traveler's Leviathan, it fled to the Amonites to aid them. When the Amonites fell, the Traveler found the Fallen. After the whirlwind, it found us. Read your grimoire.

1 답변If we're the bad guys then why are we being raised from the dead? Something happened.... How do you know that we weren't in a church praying when we were gunned down?
