Raid primaries used to have interesting or unique perks. Like a auto rifle that blinded wizards or a pulse that shot through the knight's shield.
Now they all get cocoon. Reloading is pretty easy on its own. And bunch of random normal legendary perks.
They could have had a non-elemental gun that stops taken centurions from spawning trackers or marks taken minotaurs for your team. You know... Things that make raid guns worth getting
Edit: also where gun variety was an actual problem was in crucible not PvE. And elements hardly matter in crucible. Everyone used Thorn, red death, and hawkmoon. Then add a long range shotgun. It took them like 9 weeks of ToO to fix that.
Edit: So yeah to those who said cocoon was awesome in hard mode oryx. Beat it with ToM, 1000 yd stare, raid LMG. Only used LMG for the echo. Never used cocoon. Whole team used ToM. Gotta love that weapon variety

The only thing a gun with a element is good for is for burns and shield from a higher up boss like a captain and bosses but unless its small arms special and heavy are far better with dealing with higher up enemies while primary's were meant to controls and kill the smaller enemies

30 답변Luke Smith is a f*cking moron. I used dozens of different weapons in year 1. With TTK I use four. Smite of Merain, Touch of Malice, Black Spindle and Qullim's Terminus. But it's okay. In two weeks I will be back to using dozens of weapons. In Fallout 4.

32 답변People don't want elemental primaries, they want extremely OP primaries that make the game easy mode. The raid weapons now are way way way better than the CE weapons. The only reason people used them is because of elemental damage which is what Bungie wants to avoid. The Pulse and the machine gun are probably the best legendary PVE weapons in the game. Hung Jury is not the clear best by any means. You can run the raid to get all the weapons, to reach max level for IB and Trials and to simply enjoy the game, which is something people don't do enough of. You whiners talk about how everyone will leave because of this. LOL. This forum is made of the .1% of people who play this game, and I bet less than 10% of them will leave because of this. Stop crying. If you don't want to raid, do something else. There's plenty of options. And if running the raid for rewards is the only reason you're playing the game then why even bother? You're supposed to enjoy it.

5 답변It's the fact that they are making all of these last minute changes that's pissing everyone off . In the end making our experience with this game a lot more frustrating ,don't get me wrong it's still fun, but they totally changed up the incentive of this game , this whole DLC feels like they're just testing our loyalty to this game. They thought elemental primary's was the problem but look at the raid right now , 90 percent of people who are completing it are using the same exact weapon : Touch of malice But I guess there's a slight bit more of variety , they made the raid weapons really only use full for the content they were provided in which is the raid , that's how it's always been, however the main reason people chose the elemental primary's was for nightfall a and the fact they had well deserving perks that was worth using 24/7 (ex. Fate ringer with firefly/outlaw) we could give a shit less if the weapon was arc are not The main problem I have with Bungie is the fact that instead of adding an addition to something they decide it's better to nerf everything rather then buffing what is weaker . Elemental primary's just had better perks The element was a bonus , plus the weapons had the same stats if not better than a lot of weapons in its class, that's the main reason why everyone seemed to be using fate ringer /vision of confluence. if the raid elemental primary's had elements I bet you many will still use hung jury, why ? Because of the stats and and the perks in comparison to weapons in its class. The raid weapons right now have the worst stats of weapons in each of there classes , hence leaving room for more viable options , but the fact that they have worst stats and there's no element ? Well great they just removed both variables to what made raid weapons so unique and amazing .

It is a rather unimpressive list of very good PvE weapons so far... Feels like your forced to use just a couple of specific weapons if you want to be viable. Personally? I'll be back to my beloved Battle Rifle and Shotgun combo in a few days time when Halo 5 drops. ^ ^ Or I can switch that out for a Sniper Rifle and a SAW. Or I can switch that out for a Rocket Launcher and a DMR. Or I can switch that out for classic Assault Rifle and Magnum. Or I can switch that out for a Needler and a Plasma Sword. Or I can.... well, you get the idea.

8 답변"Now they all get cocoon." you say that so disgustingly. cocoon is amazing, ESPECIALLY for a DPS heavy raid! empty your heavy, switch to primary n empty it, switch to secondary n empty it, switch back to heavy rinse/repeat! reloading takes an average of 2 seconds, switching takes less than a second!

They got lazy or the sandbox designer thinks its OK to have the same perk on all weapons hell even the hard mode weapons have the same perks and wtf oryx normal should drop 310 gear not 300-310 randomly also how many moldering shards do I need i have 132 and I just want want my helm

7 답변작성자: Erijian 10/25/2015 12:52:16 AMRaid Weapons before were multi-purpose being useful (And normally dominant) in every activity; now they're the most useful in the specific Raid you obtained them from which gives other Legendary weapons time to shine in other activities. What's wrong with that?

작성자: xXxDSMer 10/25/2015 6:52:15 AMThere's a reason for that cocoon perk: magdump and switch for DPS. Because unless you have a real awesome rolled sniper or MG, you're standing there forever, reloading, instead of doing damage by switching weapons and continuing to fire. Also, every weapon that drops in the raid happens to have the lowest reload stat of their weapon categories.

2 답변Agreed, it would be nice if there were perks that actually helped with the raid. Like ones that do bonus damage to Oryx's weak point, get a reload buff when in the aura or a damage buff when in Golgoroth's puddles. Old raid guns had them, sad that this batch is so watered down.

cacoon is epic rewards weapon swapping over reload. if you have three raid weapons. then ur only delay is running out of ammo. I use the raids' scout, sniper, and heavy machine gun and when ever I run out of ammo. I just swap. very useful in raids. Although, I do wish they had a more variety between classes. I mean cacoon is excellent for snipers, shotguns, heavy machine gun and rocket launchers. Primaries usually have a fair reload time along with fusions, except the hand cannon ofc. At least the hard mode ones should have different ones. I have a normal defiance of yasmine at 310 that has the same exact perks as the hard one and unfortunately it dropped at 310. so the only difference between the two is the color. I fused it today with a shotgun I got at 316 just for the sake of making it more valuable.

2 답변작성자: PvT Nuclear 10/25/2015 7:29:31 AMYup, the new raid gear is honestly terrible. They really need to work on making stuff that should make us want to play the raid.

9 답변The fact that everything we did for a year was pointless, did all those raids and nightfall to get the gear, and now it doesn't matter. New players are just as equipped as day one players. I know you shouldn't punish new players for not having gear, but you should not be telling day one players that there time was meaningless. And there struggle for a year didn't matter.
