His post from NeoGaf
Elemental primaries are being left behind. They had the distinct and undesirable property of limiting a broad weapon sandbox to a few weapons.
You're free to disagree, but I strongly prefer the breadth of arsenal options, the potential of finding a better Legendary than you have to being stuck because of a damage color.
Additionally, no Legendary weapons with damage colors has the property of making secondaries and heavies more important because of their damage color.

While I do agree with him, I think that elemental damage should be rolled as well, but should also include kinetic damage for primaries, that way, you'll end up with a primary that would either be kinetic or one of the three elemental burns. hopefully, this is just a temporary solution.

I'm torn abt this. On one hand, I really miss elemental primaries. On the other, I like the ability to have any weapon replace another because of a great perk roll. I think this was said on another post, but I think element infusion would be a great substitution. It would drop from Oryx and trials, and you would use this drop to put that element type on any of your weapons.

I believe id already posted on this, not sure. Anyway - all they need to do to fix this is make it possible to obtain "in game" a specific consumable that is capable of changing/adding the elemental damage to weapons. Make it a really small drop from Oryx, make it require certain mats in ridiculous amounts, just make it possible and we'd all be good. i say "in game" because we don't want this popping up in Tess' inventory, ever.

1 답변well then they could at least make the raid weapons as good as the old raids' ones scout rifle has slow ass reload, crap range and almost decent balance assault rifle is bad handcannon same as scout but crap balance sniper is one of those crappy mid RoF mid impact ones shotgun is decent fusion goes to space every time you shoot rocket launcher is meh the only good weapons are the pulse rifle and the machine-gun

4 답변You know what's funny? In year one at least I switched up my primaries depending on the burn/activity. Now, it'll be Hung Jury for everything! Essentially, making me use even less weapons than before. Lol.

2 답변Then get rid of all elemental burns in Nightfall, and elemental shields on Captains, Centurions Minotaurs, and witches.

4 답변If you honestly think guns like Fatebringer or Vision didn't significantly reduce design space then you're delusional. Then again when 35% of the population is under 17 I don't expect many of you to understand why elemental primaries were so bad for the game.

Hate to say it but i think this actually good. Until now, ive always had good weapons that i wanted to use but always put them on the shelf because they didn't have elements. Now i dont feel like im making a mistake for not equipping fang or voc.

Because this game wasn't grindy enough. I understand and actually agree with his point to a degree, but the problem is Destiny is becoming more tedious and less fun. It was annoying enough before just getting the drop you wanted, nevermind getting the actual stats and perks you'd like. But now we have yet another layer of RNG stacked on top of that with randomized attack and defense rolls (which makes gearing up multiple characters, especially when it comes to exotics, highly frustrating).. It's like they don't want us to enjoy the game. RNG is a necessary element in any game but a good developer will take steps to minimize player exposure to it as much as possible. Bungie's doing the opposite. Also, the smart loot system doesn't really work either. I was so thrilled to get a second copy of the shotgun I already had equipped the other night from the Raid Bungie... Destiny 2 needs to be drastically different or they're not going to see the same level of sales they did with this game. Stop nickel and diming what's left of your fanbase Bungie jesus christ...

5 답변The problem with the hard raid, and the normal raid as well, is the rewards are terrible, and they dont always drop even. In previous raids you at least got something from one of the bosses/chests, whether it was a gun or a piece of armour. You can go through the whole of Kings Fall and not get any loot other than mouldering shards.....That is some proper shit right there. The hard raid drops being simple recolours of the normal mode stuff is also a bit of a let-down.

1 답변How about this.. Add elements to all primary weapons rather than none. It's not like it's a huge difference.. It's just useful for shields. This in my opinion adds even more options for weapon choice because you'll want a weapon for each element, with good rolls you'll be searching for that perfect gun a lot longer! Just my opinion! What do you guys think?

13 답변작성자: B0ngSaburr_Batul 10/24/2015 6:53:46 PMThat shit is so frustrating. I dont think anyone wants fatebringer 2.0 (ok, maybe some of us do not gonna lie) but it would be nice to be able to take shields off enemies without blowing your whole clip. Its also kind of overkill considering there are new modifiers that make it impossible to kill shielded enemies without proper elemental attacks, and outgoing burn damage from guardian weapons has been nerfed as well. As many of you have noted, adding a feature to allow you to imbue a weapon with an element totally circumvents luke smith's argument about weapon choice. Why not have an ultra hard quest line for it? You know, maybe something like the quest line to open up weeky crucible bounties?

2 답변I think it's a good call but they need to add some other type of incentive. It would be cool if they dropped a consumable that let you put elemental on a weapon of your choice.

2 답변Instead of removing elemental primaries, why not make all legendaries have some sort of perk that lets us add a burn or change between all three burns like they did with murmur in TDB. This way we can still find weapons we like and doesn't make all other legendaries garbage we dismantle. You can even add an item at the gunsmith that sells elemental cores to add them to the guns. Just a thought..

I have no attachment to virtual commodities. I don't care if they remove elements, in fact I'm hype that my friends don't feel like they're less of a player for not having a certain elemental weapon, or that they don't feel like they're playing the game wrong if they choose not to use a certain elemental weapon. You people might not realize it, but this is largely the case for those who do not have time to maximize drop chances, or those who do not like being told how to play at the expense of their progression. The only thing I'm curious about is how Adept weapons will be different from the weapons that drop by playing Trials. M

I just like how one guy decided for an entire games community. I love Destiny, fun times and great friends. But am slowly burning out an moving out. Better let the memories be somewhat good before Bungievision destroys that too.
