I had a poll after Iron Banner how people did with IB drops. 60% of people who responded stated they had to spend legendary marks on gear. A few people stated they played 100+ matches and did not get a single Mercy drop. Which, to me, is insane. So, I would like to see bungie reimburse the people who put the time into IB with one of the following: 1) a random roll IB weapon or gear piece. 2) 75 legendary marks 3) a random legendary engram Who gets this? Anyone at level 5 in iron banana. Is that somehow not possible? Then everyone gets it. Maybe if some non-IB player got a beautiful new IB weapon it would cause them to play next time. And it says the right thing to those who lost out: a bug screwed you over, but we have your back. Please bump <3 Edit: maybe some of the people reading this don't realize. But bungie had stated before IB started that end of match drops would be THE primary means people would get legendary items. Following IB, bungie states a bug was present which made this NOT occur. In the meantime, some guardians were fruitlessly farming IB (more than usual mind you) with the expectation of increased drops - which of course did not happen. Some of you were very lucky with RNG. Congrats! Some guardians however (not me!) played 100 or more matches and didn't have a piece of gear or pulse rifle drop. That is why this post exists. I'm not asking for handouts, and I think anyone who spends any time with this game should realize how SMALL 75 legendary marks or ONE engram is. I mean. That's nothing even to a filthy casual like me. But I think it is the right thing to those who wasted their time on a bugged IB. Hope that clears up what I am asking, and why. It turns out that, when we started digging into the issue, we uncovered a nasty bug that affected how Legendary drops happen throughout the Crucible, including Iron Banner. Edit 3: Best reason I can think of to not get reimbursed here is that we have Mostly all benefitted from bugs at some point :p but since no one is making that argument.... I'm just gonna carry on TLDR; bungie states drops will be main source of legendary gear this IB. Guardians proceed to fruitlessly grind IB. Later bungie states IB was bugged and drops didn't happen as intended. I believe they should "make this right," do you?
