They don't have them to make it have more use and varieties of all other weapons in the primary then a go-to raid primary that is always use except in few situation and also to make other weapon type more used then just relying on the elemental primary because it has a burn on it. It gives more options for players then to use a certain 3 guns depending on the burn of the activities playing.

Can't tell me a majority of players didn't only use elemental primaries in pve endgame activities. Basically because it made it easier to get though a mission, strike or especially a nightfall because of the burn on the primaries. Yes, there were uniqueness of the raid and lighthouse weapons then the burns in them, but there are still unique qualities of raid weapons still. The special damage to the specific raid enemies and other perks mostly just on raid weapons.

So, because you don't want to use a raid weapon, they should just get rid of the best part about the raid weapons? They aren't changing game design. Enemies still have shields that are a pain in the butt to take down on end game stuff. Burns still exist on the nightfall. So you'd rather hamstring everyone by having them not include primaries with burns because you don't like them rather than just using whatever damn weapon you want to regardless of what the raid weapons have?

I never sain I didn't like them. I use scouts and Fang and Vision were my favorite guns in year one. I just said it doesn't make everyone rely on those few guns with a burn to get through activities quicker and make the strike/mission more of a challenge and going then just to be able to burn everything down so quickly. I'd think, to Bungie the game has more of a challenge and more variety of weapon use in the endgame. Bungie wants the game to be more of a challenge and not be rewarded so quickly. Aside from some of the Bungie communities wining-ness, why do you think they nerf weapons so much, to make a change to the overuse of a certain weapon/weapon type. Kinda how you don't really see hand cannons, namely Thorn, so much in Crucibles regardless the level advantage doesn't matter.

I think burns on primaries was one of the big reasons to do the raids before. It set the weapons apart and made them something worth grinding for. These new weapons are ok, but they're not special. A couple of them are so bad I'll never use them at all (assault and hand cannon). Just look at the nightfall this week. I'd love to have a void primary to take down the shields of those stupid minotaurs. While still being able to use my fire shotgun for the centurions. Leaving burns off primaries really hampers the ability of a guardian's load out to efficiently take out mobs with multiple kinds of shields. Sure, it makes it harder. But that's an artificial inflation of difficulty. One of my favorite things about the new raid, some story missions and some parts of the new strikes is that it isn't just about throwing 100,000 enemies at you. There are some mechanics that are clever and require coordination that make it more difficult, not just so many mobs with heavy shields that you can't move without being blown into oblivion. Those kinds of missions suck (here's looking at you, approach the garden). Removing the burns just seems dumb, to me. It's limiting what guardians can choose to do, not giving us more variety.

I get and see the point you make, but it does give more variety to choose any primary you like and not just a certain couple weapons. The raid unique elemental primaries are a thing to do the raid, but if so, I'm glad they'd be saving it to only hard if that's the plan. Doing Crota on easy to get them was just easy. That raid wasn't really that hard. Anyways I'm just trying to see it the way it is right now not to complain about what's wrong in the game. I like the game, it's fun too me and I'd be ok without elemental primaries if that's the case.
