We have paid $140 for what was originally intended to be $60.
It was Bungie's, not Activision's, idea to throw micro-transactions at the player.
It seems about half of The Taken King was actually cut for that $40 price tag too.
Isn't it time people stop supporting this game?
For those who deem to read things at face value I'll point out what the article says in a non-politically correct fashion.
The article reads of a power hungry, self-serving Jason Jones who insisted that a completed game be converted into an "open world" game that was "non-linear" (the exact opposite of what Bungie's known for) because those were the big buzz words floating around circa 2013 that all the huge games were using.
Those Bungie employees who didn't like his attitude quit or got fired (Staten, O'Donnell, and half the Halo team) right when the story changed.
Jones then said "Well, we have a cool looking room here and a good boss fight here so let's find a way to connect it to this area here and call it a mission."
They then recycled all the existing assets and threw out a game in the span of a year that was rubbish, all while lying to the consumer.

If you found out how much content was cut from games you play you'd literally drive yourself bonkers. That's why Blizzard stopped telling people what their plans were for WoW expansions. Warcraft players STILL bitch about a raid called abyssal maw that was suppose to release in 2010 but was cancelled.

About micro transactions, if there is one thing that Activision did right with CoD it's not allowing micro transactions effect anything but the cosmetics of the guns and character

작성자: Sencatsu 10/23/2015 1:59:32 AMA lot of this is actually sadly true. Why do you think many places from Dark Below and House of Wolves were aready in the game at launch. People glitched in to lots of places that were THERE ALREADY which was locked content on disc. ORIGINALLY, Destiny was suppose to have Dark Below and House of Wolves in the game at launch. They decided to cut it out and sell them as DLC to get more money. The game WASN'T suppose to be linear...but ended up being linear because of differences within Bungie. I know we've been lied to. It's sad. People will deny this. I won't even look at the comments... It is probably filled with some who agree..and most who disagree. Those who disagree, let them be. Don't defend yourself. We know it is fact. Whatever anyone claims...is false. This is true. Unfortunately.

No, it's not time to stop supporting because I still really enjoy it. Seriously get over yourself and move on.

Why do you people care about shit like this? If the game wasn't a value to you when you bought it, blame yourself. Between social media, the Internet, myriad reviews, your friends list and Twitch, you have more than enough resources to determine if a game is what you would consider 'worth it'. If Destiny, at launch, wasn't the title you expected, you shouldn't have bought it. /thread.

The most disturbing part is that vanilla content is already being pushed into destiny 2! How much further are they going to milk this thing? Shit I was hoping the majority of problems would be fixed, we would have potentially a new ai and a bigger sandbox for pve, and a much more balanced / competitive pvp. They tried to paint Bungie in such a positive light also. They were struggling with deadlines blah blah blah blah. So we paid an extra $65 for their screw up? Gtfoh. I'm sorry I'm calling bullshit. This sounds like a leaked story to push their version of events. Sounds like just enough factual evidence to sound credible but just enough fluff to make any educated reader second guess the motives behind a leak of this magnitude. So Bungie now loses all credibility considering the "placeholder" lie was complete bullshit. This if anything is a bad story for brand recognition. We now know for sure 150% that this company sold out and we owe no loyalty to Bungie. They've demonstrated no loyalty back to the player base in telling the truth or being transparent. I'm not surprised but I'm disappointed the Bungie I've come to know with halo is gone. Welcome to activision.

This is why halos better, $60 - $90 for the game depending on what edition then free dlc

this is a good article, you always had this feeling with Destiny since we started playing it. You see that there was this ghost of a story lingering in Destiny but the story we actually saw over it lacked so much story, but you could see this game was big. That bungie had this huge thing for them but they werent using it right, I always felt that what Destiny lacked the most was story. I have friends who would come back if Destiny was rehashed the same as it is now but with a proper story in it.

작성자: FirefightinGamer 10/23/2015 2:08:16 AMI'm not saying I'm for or against anything being said BUT one thing I do know is that all DLC in all games are already on the disc. The code you get for the DLC or when pay for it, simply unlocks it. Of course, some companies intend for it to be DLC when they're making the game and some make the game and say "we can make more money if this becomes DLC" so they lock it and make it DLC
