For SCIENCE! Farming Three of Coins. In Theory.
This is all [i]theory[/i].
1.)Go to court of oryx in dread patrol
2.)Use ONE ([b] x1 [/b])three of coin
3.)Defeat THREE to FOUR ([b] 3-4 [/b]) tier one bosses ONLY. Powering your buff.
4.)Venture off and patrol a taken corruption.
5.)Defeat a taken zealot/champion
6.)Collect loot, rinse wash repeat
What methods work best for you?

Due to lack of consistency and levels of "butt hurt" with most. This thread is now about researching how you optimize a single Three of Coin usage.

1 답변Actually if u just use a coin and kill the bosse's ogre body guards. They are ultras. Suicide and reset the rune. Repeat. It worked on last week's boss. Literally got all the available year 2 exotics in about 2 hrs

15 답변Seems like a lot of work just for one exotic drop. I'm at the point where I don't really care about toc anymore. The nerfed drop rate makes them almost worthless anyways and to do these extra court of oryx stuff just adds on the time it takes to get an exotic drop.

8 답변This is just my experience. I usually play strikes, and pop one since it takes 5 minutes or more to get to the end. This is enough time for the cool down. In these cases I get a shiny once every 5 to 7 times. This week, mainly because due to the lack of time, I played a strike with one active, patrol a bit, and then switched off. The next day I then did a strike with one active, and on the second one without fail for the past few days I got a shiny. Not sure why, but this brought the odds in my favor. Sure it takes more time, but this could be just luck. However, 80% of the engrams were gauntlets or helmets. One was for secondary, and three for primary. I got the monte carlo twice in a row, then thankfully the jade Rabbit, and another telesto for secondary. Still hoping for the almighty primary Zhalo. But I can do with no more armor drops. The last shiny I didn't even see drop, I got it from the postmaster.

2 답변Are you supposed to use a three of coin for every tier one rune you do, or one for every 3-4

1 답변Actually if this theory is correct you never have to leave the court. 3 tier 1s to charge a tier 2 2 tier 2s to charge a tier 3 ( now youve stacked at least 7 ultras without a drop) 1 tier 3 (tier 3s do drop exotics) As long as you have runes you can go all day.

1 답변The coins don't work on court of oryx bosses because most of them are majors not ultras.

5 답변I always wondered if this worked, cheers for clearing it up! The way 3oC's work is that every time you use one and kill a Ultra, if said ultra doesn't drop an exotic, your next 3oC Ultra kill has an increased chance to drop one, this continues until you get an exotic this way. This is why using only one 3oC at a time is the most effective way, it baffles my why people cannot see this.

3 답변BBWWHAHAHAHA! Holy shit. I just did this and it works. I did 2 Tier 1 CoO and then 1 Tier 2 CoO and then did a Strike. Lol this is dumb but works.

3 답변I understand your method but how do you know for certain that killing tier one bosses adds increase chance. . I know that only tier 3 bosses waste a three of coins. Again how do you know that killing the tier one bosses adds more chance?

I dunno about others but what's been working for me is using a coin before taking out a champion. Literally, the first coin i use on the first champion I kill gives me an engram. Four of the last five times it's worked out like that. Crazy
