Indomitable Light, if released, won't be sold for silver. We good fam. For now. Let it die.

Original post is in the spoiler:

Indomitable Light
Increases likelihood of weapon and armor drops from your next King's Fall foe.
This is absolute garbage.
It makes perfect sense why you designed the current loot system in King's Fall to be terrible; it was designed with this (highly likely) paid-for consumable in mind the entire time.
I just killed Oryx on my Titan and guess what I got? 2 shards. This is disgusting. If your company has even a shred of integrity left (doubtful), you'll make sure this item never sees the light of day as it is currently designed.

Edit: Here's a pertinent quote from Skillis Gillis in this thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/162579572/0/0/1
"Consumable items are nonreturnable"
Notice how there currently aren't any consumable items in the store, only emotes. This means that you can assume they'll be adding consumable items sooner or later.
Is there a chance that this will be an in-game drop? Sure. Is it highly suspicious that Tess Everis has this disclaimer with these consumables popping up in the database? Yes, yes it is.
Edit #2: Even if it ends being being an over-reaction:
1. It doesn't hurt to let Bungie know exactly where the community stands and the backlash they'll receive if they do something as stupid as this.
2. It says something about Bungie's/Activision's reputation that people would so easily suspect them of doing this.
It will probably be something related to HARD RAID? It's already confirmed not to be purchasable by silver... You guys bitched about getting mouldering shards since the day the raid came out...they release this so you "may" get more loot... and Raid Loot hasn't been bad for me...I've gotten a weapon everytime at Oryx and at least 2/4 piece of armour and like 7 midnas reckoning lmao... they added this so you unlucky scrubs can get stuff...unhappy about this too?

작성자: Guial 10/14/2015 12:19:16 PMI don't think that's over-reaction. I seriously hope this is not a valid hypothesis, but BungieVision gives the impression to have chosen a paid to win politics and try "shyly" to put it in place. Seing the forum's reactions, they do one step forward and immediately say "no, you're getting it wrong", then try another step. I enjoyed this game since the beta, but I hope it is not taking the direction it seems to be taking. I want to build my legend, not buy it.

3 답변I'm sure companies making millions a year will definitely miss your business. People like you are cry wolf before the wolf is even here, if the wolf could even show. Might they sell consumables that allow people with little time to play and gain actual rewards, yes. Will 2% of the player base whine, yes. Feel free to go play another game

No matter how you spin it micro transactions like these are immoral. Two types of people with purchase these - the ones who make a calculated measured decision to try it and have the self control to decide later if it is for them and the other type has a problem where they will pop these things like candy. To take advantage of the latter folk is wrong. I don't really see the need for preemptive quitting but should consumables that boost drop chance be introduced I won't be able to keep playing. I am borderline to type who would get addicted to it.

As long as silver is used for cosmetics only, I don't mind throwing in 5 or 10 bucks here or there. Not liking the concept of purchasing currency in game to fast track though. It's pretty well like this in every MMO though. It's nothing new, just a bit crappy as they dropped the rate for currency. Honestly, if they want to go that route, Destiny 2 should just be considered an MMO in it's own right and have a subscription fee or what not. When you try to take the best of both worlds to your advantage it doesn’t sit well with the consumer. I don’t play it at all, but Warframe did it right. Here's a free game. Want some cool items or buffs to fastrack yourself? Better perks? Now you can shell out some dough. I think Destiny needs to get it's sh1t together. Hopefully D2 isn't as Beta as year one came across.

Marvel game I played you could pay for weekly resets on raids. I rarely did it but my buddy spent damn near 100 bucks a week. Let's hope they don't start that either. I agree with you though. We all knew they were up to no good with Micros.

18 답변Same. This actually disgusts me. It sickens me. I have been here since beta, I have ghost edition, ttk legendary ... I have invested countless hours in this game. I have had great fun. Thanks for that. You know what this feels like? Your hot ex who was great in the sack but cheated on you with 5 guys. I feel violated. This is a game, a passion for many of us, and this just leaves me feeling very sad.
