Just because your light level still remains high with a Y1 weapon equip doesn't mean you'll still do relevant damage. The actual attack value of the weapon still matters as well and since fel winters only does 170, have fun going up against 290+ guardians

Straight from the horses mouth: LEVEL ADVANTAGES ENABLED Your DEFENSE rating affects how you take damage. Your ATTACK rating affects how you inflict damage. Lower-level players wielding fully-upgraded weapons should still be considered a very credible threat!

Have you tested it for yourself? Cause I sure have. Had Boolean Gemini equipped at 297 light on a 240 heroic mission. Was hitting for like what 2,000 crit? Switched to VOC with same stats. Dropped my light to 293. Only was hitting for 970 crit. So yeah I'm right

Ok... Attacking an enemy in pve is not the same as attacking a guardian with defense stats. Straight from the horses mouth: LEVEL ADVANTAGES ENABLED Your DEFENSE rating affects how you take damage.
