//edit. Thanks for the tips everyone! It went from something that seemed impossible to something not that tricky at all. It does feel like I cheesed it, but I don't care!
I consider myself to be a little above average PVP wise. Not great, but can hold my own. It took me a few hours to finish the Thorn PVP part of the bounty. But the TLW part of Chaperone quest is so far beyond my skill level I can't face attempting it anymore! The other night I had a stretch of games when I was on form. As good as I've ever played - coming on top or near and always finishing with positive k/d, yet the highest I got in the quest was 21%. A few games later back to 0%. So that's that - the first thing in Destiny that's just too hard for me to complete. At least without a team of ppl carrying me.
This isn't asking for a nerf btw and kudos to anyone who has one and wasn't carried!

so you can semi cheese it by only having TLW equipped when you are in situations you know you will do well in ex. super is charged, or you have heavy ammo. its highly streak based: 1 kill 1 death = -1% 10 kills 1 death = about 25% 15 kill 1 death = about 50%

This quest is all about streaks. Go to control, follow your team, and DON'T DIE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Even a few kills will net you 10-20% as long as you don't die. A 15 streak is worth, like 50%. It should only take a few matches, just don't die. Play support, not lead.

lol so many of there are so many of these past they always make me laugh. only toke me 3 matches why is these quest so hard for people. Its simple. if you can't do it because you are bad at pvp then don't do it. Some quest are just for pvp players.

You only lose 1-2% progress per death but gain at least 10% per streak reward. If you go 5kill streak 10% then go on to 10 kill streak another 10%. once you get around 20% you will see it isn't so bad.

It helps having a good team and it helps not going negative. Let me tell u a little secret that helped me. Since the taken King was pretty new (when I attempted the quest) I wasn't familiar with the new maps. So I got a buddy of my mine and my girlfriend and went to the classic map playlist. Reason why well there's a few but let me tell you the main reasons. First is in familiar with the old maps being a year one player and all. Secondly the players who play there don't have access to the taken King(for the most part) so I don't have to worry about the new supers wrecking me. Now about the quest itself my advice to you would be to snipe enemies and wait for heavy ammo you do not need to kill enemies with TLW only have it equipped and like I said the trick is to stay positive every kill streak you get increases it a lot. However every death streak you get losers it by 1% I believe so while it is pretty annoying it's not impossible it's jus something you are going to need to work at

My advice is for you to stay back a bit and play it safe if you have a good machine gun use that during heavy and your main goal is to get kill streaks 5 kill streaks get you up quite a good deal of percentage and as long as you have the last word equipped you can get kills with anything but it will only add percentage after a kill or two after the first kill in that life
