For Everyone Saying the Sleeper is Underpowered
So the community has appeared to have a fairly negative reaction to the Sleeper. I won't deny that the quest was simplistic and easy at best, but the weapon itself really shines. Lets look at some numbers:
Black Spindle, which is considered one of the best single-target damage dealers, does ~76k per shot on Golgoroth. The Sleeper does ~155k per shot. The fire rate of the Sleeper is about 2/5 that of the Spindle (excluding reload). This is the equivalent of ~69k damage per 76k damage from spindle.
What this means is that the Sleeper rivals one of the BEST SINGLE TARGET WEAPONS IN THE GAME, albiet with a single reload. However, the sleeper is a lot more versatile, as it doesn't require 3 rapid precision shots to maintain dps.
TL:DR Sleeper is a pretty damn good weapon.
Edit: For those pointing out that the Sleeper has only 7 shots, this thread is comparing dps, not total damage. Various other factors come into play at that point.
Edit: Aaand my first thread ever is trending. Damn.

13 답변The difference being SS only holds 7 shots and you need to hope something drops heavy or you're screwed on the next dps round. Spindle holds considerably more ammo and special ammo is much more likely to drop than heavy.

4 답변Anyone notice it's classified as a SPECIAL weapon and not a HEAVY weapon? That means there is like 3-4 legitimate HEAVY weapons left. Hopefully when it's all said and done it won't be so bad.....hopefully.....

3 답변yeah, I would agree, that its pretty good. However, the weapon was way over hyped, as some epic odyssey, that would be extremely hard for 1 person to figure out. That was on the back of the collectors edition. Going back to the Game Informer Article it was billed as the replacement to the Gjallerhorn. 1 it was a time gated mission 2 the quest was pretty simple to complete. The Black Spindle so far is way better mission wise, surprise wise and mission structure wise. BS mission is the hardest in the game to date IMHO 3 the quest itself was a huge let down as it had no production values, voice overs or animations, and wasn't tied back to the lore. The quest line seems rushed, and in the same vain as HoW story. 4 the SS quest dropped the day after the start of the NTTE quest and the vault quest from the shell was one of the high points in the game with regards to secret missions. 5 Its not the best gun in the game, dps wise. Its not a bad gun, but how it was marketed, and how we obtained it were 2 very different things. Its just a huge let down.

9 답변The black spindle does 1ook damage a shot to golgoroth 135k damage with weapons of light behind snot drop,.. and almost 180k of damage with weapons bubble, snotdrop and aiming lower towards his twig and berries not up higher towards his face. Try it and see.
