So I read the latest update only moments ago, and was extremely excited that I would be able to get some new emotes without wasting money.
And then I kept reading.
Silver (with what information we have at this moment) will only be available by purchase with real life currency.
I know that I don't have to waste my money on it. I don't plan to.
But it would be nice to get something a little different without spending money.
Could there are least be a much slower, more grindy way to get some emotes? Then those who are willing to spend real money on an animation can get it right away, and those who don't will be forced to add more play hours to your statistics in order to get (maybe only some of) the same things.
Obviously the Special Edition emotes will remain exclusive, and there would be some that can only be bought with real money transferred into Silver, then there would be a few that anyone can get, just to add a bit more variety to our standard animations.
EDIT: So it turns out in my upset state, I skipped the part where they say that they'll be giving everyone some Silver to start. But still, I doubt they'll offer more than one emote's worth, meaning variety is still extremely low, and choice difficult.
EDIT 2: I am told that they are offering enough for two emotes. Much more satisfying if it holds true.
I'm not going to be one of those guys that posts about every 50 comments, but it is nice to finally have a thread with 50+. My only comment about this i swear.
The reason people are up in arms about micro-transactions is right now it may JUST be on emotes but how long until it suddenly becomes a necessity? Paying $20.00 for an op weapon that cannot be competed against? The reason people are protesting and crying about it is that bungie has been known to outright lie to its player base even as far back as halo days and before you bash people like me using our k/d or how much we played remember that EA essentially did the exact same thing that bungie is doing right now and if you whine about it, remember that people like me warned you. I for one think that if it gets so bad that we start seeing advertisements and HAVING to pay more money just to get a quest then people like me will definitely give this game the middle finger... The DLC's are tolerable but what isn't is how the company has treated those who simply can't afford it or don't want to because bungie incessantly nerfs their favorite weapon all to extend playtime or actively insult those that play their game just like Deej does and just Luke Smith did.

1 답변Look guys, year one players, casuals, fanboys, people who are locked out of TTK, I think we can all agree that little dances that were probably made during a lunch break by an intern should have been included in TTKs launch price. If you can't agree please give me your money because for some reason you don't care about it.

3 답변I understand what you're saying but the harsh reality is that Bungie and activision and all those guys, are here to make business. And the number one rule in business is to do whatever you can to make as much money as you can They will not deter from your story or PVP or anything. It's for suckers who want to spend extra money for a dance move.

The first game that comes out claiming to be the anti Destiny is going to break records. And by the way I have spent money I've already spent $140.00 on this game and the only reason I'm complaining is that I doubt that only cosmetic items will be sold . At some point that will change too.

75 답변What y'all cheap asses don't understand is that people actually have to work to make these neat things in the game, people need to get paid for their time and education. Asking to get this shit for free is like going to McDonalds and saying "hey, I've eaten here fairly regularly for the past year, I want a free meal".

2 답변Id rather get emotes that can be used as signals while playing the game. Maybe like a "I need backup" emote or something.

4 답변I couldn't give two flying monkeys arses if I can point or dance different or shrug my shoulders or whatever in game, it's not about whether I can afford it and more about do I want it? No, because I'm not 12 years old :p

Yes it would be a good idea to be able to, let's say "earn" or like you said "grind" for emotes instead of purchase. If you wanna buy it, then buy it, but I agree on that there should be a way to grind for an emotes. And maybe other additions they might add to the silver currency.

작성자: Sickmanjaro 10/6/2015 8:40:10 PMLet's add another currency type yet leave the hundreds of other types sitting in our vault with no purpose. Etheric light? Useless and they don't even know what what they are going to do with it. Yet want to add in micro transactions with a different currency for real money. Smh

6 답변Suck it up and buy the emotes or just dont have em simple as that. There should not be a grindy way to get these at all. Either put up or shut up.
-
2 답변The plan is for the microtranactions to support some free content until next fall. If they gave us a way to earn in game, which would be cool, then people would be less likely to buy.

1 답변Feed you a little to get you to comeback for more. This is just the beginning. Weapons and armor will be next.

1 답변if an emote in game is over $1.00 USD i'm going to shït a brick on deej's doorstep because it seems completely stupid to be paying over that much for one emote. hell it's stupid having to pay for them with real life currency
