EDIT #2: I'm putting this at the top to make sure it's clear to people. I hate nerfs I think nothing should ever be nerfed. The problem is that in today's America were everyone gets a trophy for participating instead of winning the goal is to make everything equal and bland. Thorn and Last Word were awesome and fun but instead of leaving them alone and making other weapons better they make the good fun stuff not good and not fun. This is the path Bungie has put their game on. You don't want nerfs? You have to change the psyche of America and Bungie. This game is always going to have the better things brought closer to the middle so everyone's on an equal playing field. It's sad and pathetic but that's the world we live in. I main a titan so this may come as a surprise to some people but i am also an honest person and i call things the way i see them. Hammer of Sol is OP well not the hammer itself the amount of armor the titans get when they activate their super. I hate saying things need a nerf because then i sound like a 12 year old crying about stupid shit but i spent some time yesterday with a bunch of clan members and warlocks, hunters and titans trying to test how OP the armor is. Well first we went 6 titans into mayhem needless to say the other team quit twice. so from there we tried to get killed while having our supers activated. I survived a direct hit from a Novabomb and stayed in the vortex until it was gone and lived to fight some more. One of the clan members said that he took 2 golden gun shots and died and another said he killed an arc blade with melee while he was getting attacked by the arc blade. I also noticed that a sticky grenade of any type dints even take my shield down all the way. So then we decided to take out our other characters for a ride and see what we could do against titans and also what killed us while we had our supers activated well first theres the headshot from the sniper that takes you out no questions asked if you are a hunter in any super as well as a sticky grenade. So one head shot dead one sticky grenade dead but hammer of sol you don't even lose your shield, hmmm seems legit. The clan mates that were using warlocks said that they weren't having any issues because they got an armor buff too but nothing like hammer of sol and were still being killed much easier than it seemed it was to take out a titan. In the end we basically tested to see what it took to kill a titan with the super activated and we use 3 fusion grenades for one kill, 3 head shots point blank for another and a full mag from 2 thorns and point blank. I get it its a super and thats cool but Bungie you ruined weapons because of weapons balancing where the hell is the balance in this? its clear that the titans armor is far far superior to any other classes and is OP all supers defensive capabilities should be semi similar its only balancing...is that what you want? EDIT #1: well for the most part people are understanding what I'm talking about. I do have to apologize I overlooked the "I survived" a novabomb. This post is from myself as well as a few friends and I tried to edit the wording correctly to reflect who or how it was being said and I overlooked that. Either way it doesn't change the fact that it happened. Also just because you personally haven't seen one or more of these situations doesn't mean it can't happen. "I know for a fact" and "irrelevant" because you haven't seen it doesn't make it any less true. There are plenty of Titans posting on this thread saying they have survived this or that encounter. Stop being a snob and deal with the actual facts.
