Why do people still use op year 1 weapons?
So, every game, there is that one guy who has a matador or a messenger. Why?
Is it because you are not good enough to succeed with new, balanced weapons?
Before people say I'm jealous or whatever, I have a matador, BTRD and lots more.
Imo, people who do this ruin what would otherwise be a great pvp experience.

Edit: I seem to have worded this badly. I don't care if people use ldr invectives etc. I am only complaining about things such as the matador and messenger that are still op.
Edit 2: lol so much hate. Never done this before it's really fun.
Edit 3: wow this has really taken off! As suggested in a comment, I will suggest an alternative to some of the weapons I'm complaining about:
Messenger- red death, similar RoF/Impact but with slightly more recoil. Will work well in IB next week.
Shotgun: the new monarchy vendor version is a beast
Edit 4: woah! 730 replies. This is quite interesting, at the moment I'd say it's about 50:50 between agreement and hate

I try to use year 2 weapons but messenger, hopscotch, and the OG shotguns are so much better than anything available at the moment. If someone is half decent using this old stuff you are disadvantaged using some of the new weapons for now.

I love my Messenger so very much. I do. For me that's the perfect gun. I don't care who says what, I love that gun and I love using it. I got it from my first Lighthouse chest and... Well, if you used it you know how good it is. It fits my playstyle. Some people can't get rid of their Fatebringer. Others still use NLB. I have that same sentiment towards my Messenger. Same thing with my Efredeet's Spear. Those two guns got me through Trials all summer long and I still love to use them when someone pisses me of in pvp, or to just feel like the good 'ol days. There you go, that's why... [spoiler]I do have new toys for IB and Trials, but they are not close to my Messenger / Spear combo[/spoiler]

5 답변I use the Vex and BTRD in pvp. But cheer up, Iron Banner is coming, and all year 1 guns will be useless during that span.

2 답변First off, that's one of the few places that you can still use year 1 weapons without being at a disadvantage. It won't be an option when power advantage is enabled. So it won't interfere with crucible content that actually matters. So what if ppl bring out outdated gear? Secondly, I have a few quest that require crucible in order to get better gear for pve. I'm the type of guy that barely plays pvp on destiny since it's so broken. If I have to go in there, I'm going to use every cheap op weapon I can. I don't want to be there any longer than I need to.

6 답변I play pvp with almost all year 1 weapons besides the supercell, it's my copy of the game and I can play it however I like
