So I hired someone because they play destiny.
A little bit ago I was doing some recruiting and I asked them what they do for fun. The candidate said they also play video games...I got excited and asked him if he plays destiny and he said yes. So we talked about the game and the new expansion for about 30 minutes and I just had to hire him. Anyone else have a story like that or met a fellow player in real life?
Edit: He was qualified but it's what separated him from the rest.
Edit 2: Since a lot of people do not know how the hiring process goes I'll clarify. You get applications in for a job that is available. Someone goes through all the email and paper applications and based on job history and experience decides who to interview. Then the hiring manager picks the person that is best for the job, will be dependable, and will mesh with the current team. Not everyone can get hired.

I had a job interview for a games company a few months back, did a good cover letter and explained in that why i want to join and what i think i would add. I had mentioned bungie and destiny due to my activity on the forums. At the start of the interveiw the first question was have i got galllarhorn yet, i replied no not yet and havent got ice breaker with either, then we spoke about classes told i was a titan, they were hunters. Then the interveiw went on as normal. While i didnt get the job due to needing more experiance it was still a different and fun moment in the interview haha. The games company by the way was tt games, there are responsible for the lego games. The role was games tester.

I deliver appliances and I faintly heard menu music coming from this dude's bedroom today, but I figured I was just crazy or sleep deprived. We finished installing his washer and dryer and asked us if we play video games. I said yes, and I was like "it's funny you ask, because I could have sworn I heard the menu music from Destiny earlier" and he was like "you did, my girl is in the bedroom playing right now." We ended up chillin at his place talking about Destiny for like half an hour. Too bad he was on ps4.

2 답변I got a job because I played wow back in the day. It ended up sucking because my boss was older and sucked really bad at wow and I had to explain everything and teach him how to play basically.
