A little bit ago I was doing some recruiting and I asked them what they do for fun. The candidate said they also play video games...I got excited and asked him if he plays destiny and he said yes. So we talked about the game and the new expansion for about 30 minutes and I just had to hire him. Anyone else have a story like that or met a fellow player in real life?
Edit: He was qualified but it's what separated him from the rest.
Edit 2: Since a lot of people do not know how the hiring process goes I'll clarify. You get applications in for a job that is available. Someone goes through all the email and paper applications and based on job history and experience decides who to interview. Then the hiring manager picks the person that is best for the job, will be dependable, and will mesh with the current team. Not everyone can get hired.

Not the best reason to hire someone, but not the worst either. A huge part of deciding whether to hire someone is determining whether that person would be a good fit for the company culture. If a person is highly qualified on paper but is a jackass, it's probably better to give the nod to someone who might be slightly less qualified but is more easygoing, because that person is more likely to learn from others and be willing to work as a team. If a person has some common interests with the boss and/or with other employees, it is a good indicator that he/she will be a good fit, which in turn means that he/she is more likely to stick around for long-term employment rather than job hopping.

If they can't counter Sunbreaker I move on to the next interviewee. As the next potential employee pushes the door open cautiously I unfasten the locks on the toolbox in front of my feet, full of various hammers.

14 답변On Wednesday I went to the gas station to buy a red bull (mainly because I wanted some focus light so I can make a new warlock) and the guy at the counter ringed me up and as I handed him my card I could tell he was wanting to ask me something by how he was looking at the can.. we made eye contact for a second and then he just goes "focused light?" And I was like "yeah man". Then we both laughed and as I walked out I hear him go "good luck Guardian!" -blam!-ing awesome. Hahaha

2 답변I work in a hospital with children. One day during my assessment, I heard the father of the child talking to his father. He was talking about three of coins and when he was done, I chimed in. We chit chatted a bit and exchanged PSNs. I talk to him pretty much every day I work, whether or not I'm caring for the child. And soon as they're finally home, I intend to get my close group of friends to help him raid. He's yet to even be able to do VoG, so I'm excited to help him and his buddy out.
