The normal strategy: two gaze holders, 3 doing DPS always and 1 person killing thralls, you rotate from orb to orb
The better strategy: one person gets gaze, everyone else pops ONE orb and does dps for as long as the gaze lasts on the gaze holder. As soon as the gaze runs out, everyone backs up and and kills adds until ready to repeat the process. Use weapons of light and tether to help DPS
Another strategy I thought of (but haven't treated yet) was that one person would get the gaze. Back up to where the pillar of death is, and the other 5 would break an orb, get snipers ready, tether and weapons of light, and all shoot one round into Golgoroth's precision spot on his back. I wonder how much damage that would do.
Edit 1: To be clear, there is no wrong or right way to do Golgoroth as long as he is dead in the end. This post is just to help some struggling people no less. If you like your way better, that's your choice

19 답변So by using all the damage bubbles that are clearly meant to be used were doing it wrong? I would love to see a vid of how long it takes your team to run through this. While you're busy clearing ads my team will be finishing Golgoroth halfway through our second run

I don't think you should have said people were doing it wrong. That statement is just going to spark outrage and you should have just said you had another strategy:p "there is more than one way to skin a cat" (Which is weird because why skin a cat?)

1 답변Are you not meant to pass on the gaze? What's the best way to kill them things that chase you?

Good groups where everyone can hold their own weight 2 gazers works a treat. So quick and efficient. What you have is the gaze is a job that requires some form of skill. As the raid is still new to a lot of people that skill (like sword in crota), is not easy for a lot of people. For example you need to position him. Not get killed by everything he throws at you and the same time watch the timer and above all communicate. This alone proves to be too hard for the average raider. Hence why a lot atm say the one gazer is the one to do. But like said before wait till hard :) that will remove those that are still getting pulled thro the raid. As dps is easy but still people have such a low dps on him at the end

I do 4 orbs and on the last one i always go down and help with DPS we have are hunter use his super on the last wave because there is more people anything before that we use a melting point titan. We can bring him down pretty quick one round of that and he losses maybe 25 or 30% of health On the second wave we always pull somethin outta are asse and bring him down like 50% health leaving him at 20%ish on are last round we finish him on second or 3rd orb
