The normal strategy: two gaze holders, 3 doing DPS always and 1 person killing thralls, you rotate from orb to orb
The better strategy: one person gets gaze, everyone else pops ONE orb and does dps for as long as the gaze lasts on the gaze holder. As soon as the gaze runs out, everyone backs up and and kills adds until ready to repeat the process. Use weapons of light and tether to help DPS
Another strategy I thought of (but haven't treated yet) was that one person would get the gaze. Back up to where the pillar of death is, and the other 5 would break an orb, get snipers ready, tether and weapons of light, and all shoot one round into Golgoroth's precision spot on his back. I wonder how much damage that would do.
Edit 1: To be clear, there is no wrong or right way to do Golgoroth as long as he is dead in the end. This post is just to help some struggling people no less. If you like your way better, that's your choice

17 답변작성자: J M A X 3four 10/2/2015 7:37:11 PMIt's only a good stat If people are low level or generally suck at video games. Also the guys taking the gaze take turns killing the thrall so 4 people dps. My team kills him in two rotations every time which is so much less time than the method you suggest. Your method 1 gaze 5 dps X1 orb So technically 20% more dps per orb The right method 2 gaze pullers 4 dps X5 orbs That 20% extra in your method now means nothing since we've done damage for 500% longer

1 답변The 1 orb method was so easy. We got slightly careless with the taken adds and even with a few deaths still killed him before he enraged. The damage is pretty ridiculous with five people dps'ing.

The gaze swap strategy is for good groups at this point. I've been in some groups that just don't have the timing, damage, or communication to pull it off. 1 gaze at a time is for groups really struggling with the legit way. I've accomplished both and the 1 gaze strategy seems to work very consistently

6 답변Problem is though that works for normal mode. Hard mode may make that strategy to slow, unsafe, or straight up just not work at all.

I feel like the one gaze method is better. My team struggled with the other one and it took us like two tries with the one gaze. Everyone says that people who use one gaze suck but to each their own. Not everyone has to do it a specific way, it's whatever works for you and your team.

2 답변With randoms I do option 2 but with my raid team I do option 1, for 3 reasons: 1. Option 2 is boring as hell, 2. I'm like 60% sure the tablet of ruin will fill in hard mode from losing the gaze instead of deaths, 3. Option 1 is faster

작성자: xEMMERSONx 10/2/2015 7:04:01 PMFor those of you saying two gaze is faster. Keep in mind that's only true if you kill him in one go. Otherwise it's the same speed as one gaze but slightly more likely to have someone get thralled. One orb one gaze can be done in two orbs if you have a good team and supers stacking

its a good concept strat, but the real strat is the 1st one, you can just about kill him in one cycle with spindles and a good team this raid is already on farm mode for many of us anyway . . . let's start worrying about hard mode.
