The normal strategy: two gaze holders, 3 doing DPS always and 1 person killing thralls, you rotate from orb to orb
The better strategy: one person gets gaze, everyone else pops ONE orb and does dps for as long as the gaze lasts on the gaze holder. As soon as the gaze runs out, everyone backs up and and kills adds until ready to repeat the process. Use weapons of light and tether to help DPS
Another strategy I thought of (but haven't treated yet) was that one person would get the gaze. Back up to where the pillar of death is, and the other 5 would break an orb, get snipers ready, tether and weapons of light, and all shoot one round into Golgoroth's precision spot on his back. I wonder how much damage that would do.
Edit 1: To be clear, there is no wrong or right way to do Golgoroth as long as he is dead in the end. This post is just to help some struggling people no less. If you like your way better, that's your choice

2 답변Me and my friends used the tactic of only getting the left 3 orbs. I have the gaze grabber for the left, and my friend was the gaze grabber for the right. He would grab the gaze and we would pop the front left orb. Then I'd grab the gaze and keep alive while the other 4 would DPS. The right gaze grabber would help with Thrall. Once I was on 2-3 seconds, the right grabber would grab the gaze again and we would get the next orb. As the orb lands, I'd again get the gaze. We did that once again, whereby on the last one, the right grabber would jump into the pool and help out DPS'ing. Once I got to 3 seconds I signaled for everyone to get out, then let Golg's hunger satisfy then we just repeated. I think it's a good method, as it's easier to co-ordinate getting the orbs down, as each time you'd have up to 20 seconds to get it down and get into position.

Got to Golgoroth for the first time last night and expected a brutal fight. The group I was in ran this one orb strat and we killed him in about ten minutes with no wipes. We honestly had a longer fight against Warpriest because we wiped once. It's so easy to do and you can have five DPS down in the pool wrecking him while the one guy stays up top and deals with the gaze.

1 답변I agree, I always run the 1 orb strategy, only due to lack of skill with the 2 gaze catchers and cursed thrall exploding all over the place. I think as we get more experienced and higher levelled as a community the 6 orb strategy will be more effective.

2 답변One orb is easier to implement if your team is too uncoordinated for for 6 - but it takes a lot longer - on hard mode you'll likely hit enrage using this strategy before getting anywhere near killing him. My team does just shy of 75% of his healthbar in one 6 orb run, which hardly takes longer than a 1 orb run (the time is mostly wasted on having to kill waves of adds between each round on the 1 orb strat)

8 답변If you have 2 gaze grabbers that actually know what they are doing you can down all six orbs and get him to less than half health only by going in the pit once...id say op is actually doing it wrong

1 답변We can clear golgoroth in less then 10 mins with the two gaze treatment I think ppl that do the one gaze thing are not completing it to the fullest its a much more fun fight doing all six orbs

1 답변I've done both strategies and one orb definitely is easier but probably won't cut it in hard mode.

1 답변Lol if there is no right or wrong way to do golgoroth, why does your title state others are doing it wrong.

The one and five strategy is so dumb takes too long and is way tougher. Best one I found is gaze holder on right grabs it from back, you shoot L1 then left takes it, and then repeat with L2 and L3 taking out all the left side and everyone gets make DPS. Easily killed in two goes had 4 black spindles too though

3 답변We did it with one gazer.everyone rocking high impact snipers, couple of titans so we had WOL every attack.black spindle makes it easier as no reload an with WOL ur dealing around 90k damage each shot an should be able to almost empty a full ammo reserve into him.
