Is it just me, or does anyone else find that cyber bullying is not cracked down on in the Bungie forums? I get that there's supposed to be freedom of speech, but when every second person calls you a -blam!- for having an opinion, it really starts to grow old. Please, take this seriously, because I must remind you that cyber bullying is actually a crime with very serious repercussions on both ends.
UPDATE:
I would like to thank a number of you commenting below who are actually treating this topic seriously. I'd love to engage with all of you, but it's simply too hard to get through all of the negative comments.

While insults of any form should not be generally endorsed, many people's right to do so should be. Many people who experience "bullying" are simple experiencing simple name calling of a differing of opinion in which tempers flare. Often time, it's low-level, cheap, or even desperate attempts by bullies to assault their victims, yet the majority of people seem to get weaker and weaker and take to heart the words of strangers and such, and often time take offense to some things which are almost laughable. But then to add to the weakness, people exaggerate it and cause unnecessary drama and lashing back out, giving the bully what they want instead of just ignoring, blocking, or shutting down the site. They'd rather willing subject themselves to cheap shots and childish-insults, and claim they are the victim of something when they have the very power to stop it. While cyber-bullying is sometimes a real thing, too many people are too weak and stupid to do the right thing and walk away, then hurt themselves, or just create drama and attention, and take away from the real problems that occur.

1 답변I'm sorry, but unless you got doxxed or swatted, I don't see cyberbullying as a real issue. It's a laughable issue at best if you let these clowns get the better of you. I mean, seriously. If texts hurt you, then you need to unplug your computer and breathe some air. OR, you can just block them and move on. And if you have mental problems to begin with and you STILL let these people push your buttons, then you're the retard who allowed yourself to mutilate yourself, or even killed yourself, over some dumbass behind the screen.

2 답변People who bully on the internet only do it because they are cowards. This is the only place they can say mean things and jot get punished for it, so they take advantage of it. For example, if there is a user who all he/she does is bully (plenty of those types of users) they do it here because they know if they did it in the real world they would get beat up or something. Bullying on this website is for weak, cruel people. While a lot of us wish we could get rid of these jerks, it isnt possible. They will always be around. Now i am expecting a lot hate from this comment, but oh well. Show your true colors and show everyone who you really are. If you support this, please spread it around. I for one just want to make offtopic a better place, If that is your goal to, stand up and fight for it. Dont feed the trolls and show them that they have no power here

In the forums, its really easy to be detached and ignore comments that can upset you. Also easy to act not as your normal self. If its that bad then by all means report, ignore and move on. But in-game is different and very personal when you play with friends, a clan or random squad and communicate with a mic. Its close to a year that I have been playing Destiny with my brother and I have had a very pleasant experience. Its playing another online game (Warframe) that I had ONLY ONE worst experience. I was doing good and communicating with a squad and I made one minor mistake in the game of survival activating a life support too early. And suddenly player 1 just exploded and said "Oh you did not do that, you C*&^$@#%*xR!!!" His friend jumped in and I received the filthiest sexually abusive talk any young woman would care to hear. I was so shocked that I froze, didn't know what to do and just cried. When I gained senses I left and immediately reported the players and blocked. Lesson learned - play with folks I know, or go solo. Never accept random friend requests. Put it behind and next time fight back!

작성자: Guardian2798 10/1/2015 4:16:28 PMTbh I think most cases of cyber bullying on these forums has more to do with interpretation than anything. Some people see offensive behavior and shrug it off while others take it to heart. I don't think its that extreme on here because of the option to mute users and unfollow posts that are receiving high amounts of hostility. If the person was being harassed by most people on the forum there's no one forcing them to stay. I'm definitely not saying that there is no problem with cyber bullying in other places like facebook and twitter. But as far as bullying on bungie.net, it's fairly easy to stop in most cases as alot are the result of the victim's inaction towards blocking it out.

1 답변If you talk a bunch of trash on the internet like a solid majority of the users on here do, you're probably a weak little bitch anyway. Nothing some little twat behind a screen says should have a personal effect on you.
