How old is too old to be gaming?
I'm a little older than your average gamer, mid 40's approx. Recently someone told me that I should give it up and do something a little more age appropriate. It was after a game of crucible and this little person seems to think that I'm a little bit over the hill to be playing Destiny. I give this person zero credibility cuz more than likely it was past their bedtime. What are your thoughts?
P.s. Despite everything, I really enjoy the game

Age has nothing to do with it. If you enjoy it, do it. I'll be 54 next week and I've been playing video games for about 40 years now. My favorite games over the last couple of years---The "Souls" games, Monster Hunter, and Destiny. Have fun gaming, "Guardians"!!!

There is no such thing as "too old to be gaming". Those same little kids fail to realize that their favorite games are being imagined created and distributed by these same "old people". I used to hear the same BS about being a girl gamer. The whole "video games are for boys" "you actually play video games? Like real video games? " the list goes on. I feel if it makes you happy and you're not hurting anyone DO IT! Now as for these 9yr olds on COD they need to get their arses off and go play outside! There is a such thing as being too young to play certain games (anything I'm playing!)

1 답변I will never be too old for video games, fast cars/big trucks, guns, and anything else I find fun and/or enjoyable. Frankly anyone who finds THAT strange needs to get their heads out their arse. Life is too short,live it up.

When someone says you should do something more "age appropriate", they are saying you should be doing what they think you should be doing. You do what you want and enjoy it. As long as you don't hurt anyone else then screw what other people think. It's nothing to do with them.

작성자: Sacgkr23 10/13/2015 4:26:10 PMHonestly? Technically if you're under thirteen you shouldn't be on Destiny and if you're under eighteen you shouldn't be on any M rated game game. However that isn't stopping anyone. So if you can't be to young to play, then I say you can't be to old either.

If you think about it, as long as these publishers and developer don't turn into activision/ EA esq scumbags, in 40 years we'll be an active old gaming community,because I don't intend to stop playing and I'm sure neither do a lot of other players. I'm 29. I have always been gaming (since Nintendo, not since pong lol) and I feel I will never give it up. Don't let anyone or anything discourage you from doing what you enjoy doing. Even if you "number" is higher than average.. ever hear of a veteran?? Yea.. boom Keep it up man.

I'm 49. Been playing since pong first broke the scene and a 27" console TV was the biggest screen you could get but still just a turn dial, no remote and a uhf dial as well. I've heard this numerous times from numerous kids. What's more funny is its usually after getting schooled...lol. I've played with those even older than myself which I gotta say, was a relief as there are times I wonder if I should just put it to bed based on these comments. But you know what? I have, for the most part, a good time and that's what it's about. Not only that, but it's a good outlet for frustration and stress as well. We'll maybe not when you get beat by a bunch of button mashing 9 year olds..lol...keeps me sharp and my reflexes in tune.
