Using LFG I found a group of people who, like me, haven't done the raid yet. Full fireteam of raid virgins.
Two guys were on YouTube looking up how to do each section and then explaining it to the group.
Our communication was impeccable. Everyone listened well and added insightful input after each wipe.
5 minutes in it became clear to me why so many people want experienced players only. Even with YouTube vids each section took several tries.
It took 4.5 hours to get to and fight the War Priest. The jumpy ship part took literally an hour and a half to get everyone across.
It was fun though because we didn't have any elitist asshole yelling or kicking people. It was 6 guys with zero experience figuring it out.
Even though we didn't finish, it was one of the highlights of my destiny career.
Edit: so after a day of commenting I'd say it's about 80/20. 80% positive and 20% who think it took us too long or using vids makes us scrubs.
I'm a super casual gamer. I don't have the time required to figure these things out. I really just wanted to pop in, kill a boss, get loot, and bounce.

49 답변Elitist here. Yea, had I been in that raid group, all you lame shmucks would've been kicked and replaced with betters. I'm sorry 4 hours to get to war priest? Holy shit, my team got to w.p within 2/30hr first week with no videos, we figured the fight out, if you have a YouTube video fight should take 15 minutes, if your not on the same page or not enough dps, bye, scrubs will b kidney punched and replaced.

First day the raid was out I think I played it for 10 hours strait to no avail.. Of course there wasn't any YouTube vids at that point, but that's really cool. I'm glad you and you team had fun and got some experience without douchebags.

I applaud you for going in blind but 4 hours to just get to the warpriest is a bit much as I think it took us an hour first time through as soon as it dropped completely blind with no aids out there to tempt us, but then again I must take into account the randoms so I guess that it could be worse. As long as you had fun though that is all that matters since it is only a game!

You describe what I believe the journey is honestly. My first run this past Saturday I knew nothing struggled my to gorgoroth. Sunday beat him stopped at daughters. Monday night got to oryx and first teleport but couldn't finish. Last night got a group with 295+ light and experience ran all the way to daughter no wipes in about 1hr. Killed oryx last might as well. At this point I would raid with anybody but I prefer skill over experience.

2 답변Blind runs are really fun. But it's a once in a while kinda thing when you have a lot of time. Other than... At least 4/6 should know what's going on to minimize wipes and time spent on each fight. No one wants to spend all day on one raid.

This was the first raid that I was able to start blind on and work it all out. We were able to figure everything out on our own up to Oryx. We had to look up a few hints for him. We had the right idea, but just weren't executing fast enough. It is an epic raid, I loved every minute of it.

4 답변I can't join people in raids, as I am only 289 level, and I cannot find any armour or weapons to increase it >:(

3 답변I would never go in "blind". It's takes wayyy too long for some people to figure things out and I just don't have the patience for it. But good on you.

It took my group an hour on ships....well everyone got across in 15 minutes but there was that one guy that can't jump but he finally made it. I still haven't beat it. Work has been a bitch lately boss just has to send me out of town for 2 weeks

1 답변작성자: FupaSurfer 9/30/2015 2:36:37 PMRan for the first time last weekend with my boys. We did great, but with six busy schedules it was hard to get everyone together for more than an hour or so at a time. Left Oryx for Monday but two could not play and did not complete before reset. I love these guys, but need to find a fire team this weekend that can commit to finishing.
