But let's say it isn't for now... Actual non-sentinent lifeforms: A major discovery that cold change the way we look at the universe. Acual Sentient lifeforms: Could change our way of life for the better, or worse. Could lead to a major change in technological advecement even. Also, the porn industry would explode. Promethean Ruins: We discover the secret to faster then light travel and go out to clonize planets. We meet lots of aliens. Form a conncil. Life is good. Mostly. Till the Reapers arrive anyway.
