And I argued that defenders should be able to shoot out of their bubbles and that arc blade should be nerfed (until everyone and their mother got found verdict anyways), but speaking with over a thousand hours in the game, the hammer of sol is a problem. It's lethality across all ranges combined with its duration and massive damage resistance are simply too much. I'm glad to see that titans finally have an excellent super for crucible, but their has to be a way to fix a problem without making another one.
Edit: some people have made the reasonable point that we'll have to see where the hammer of sol is at in a month to really judge if it deserves a nerf.

14 답변I do respect the opinion of the people saying it needs a Nerf, I really do, but nerfing it would leave it a pointless subclass. Sunbreaker is a super-reliant subclass, other than the super it gets practically no additional benefits. Hunters have passive abilities like blink, invisibility, shade-step ect, Titans get none of that. The reason it's such a powerful super is literally because the subclass itself has nothing without it.

My advice to you is this: You see a guy in hammertime? Haul ass in the opposite direction. It's not it's strength that people find problematic, it's the fact that it's a very different super in the idea that you should not engage, instead, outrun it and put something between you and the metallic rectangle frisbees.

I love how a Titan can throw five hammers through a doorway that miss me, but still has more for when I creep that extra half inch over, am still not remotely in the doorway yet, but am close enough to blow up. At least with golden gun you need to see your enemy

2 답변Well, it pretty hard to kill someone across the map if they are moving. The best way to defeat a sunbreaker is to try and run away and do your best to avoid the hammers. It's like golden gun, you don't stop to try to shoot a golden gun. You get your ass out of there until the super goes away

Nerf the armour, and what the hell did we pick a TITAN super for? Nerf the duration and, tadah, balanced. Give me five hammers IF I'M DOING NOTHING BUT THROWING, but make the decay faster. This will mean people won't be able to activate Sunbreaker and THEN run into the enemy stronghold, but the class will still be an unstoppable force when it is pulled off at the right time and place, forcing Titans to sacrifice either armour or recovery to allow for more speed. This might generate more varied builds, as Titans begin to use fleetfire to compensate for agility loss, cauterise to deal with recovery and sunspots to slow the now-important decay.

Doesn't need nerfed. I have died plenty of times while using my super. Also here is a tip.... U see or hear someone using hammer of sol.... Run away. Wow easy as that.. problem solved. I think the people complaining it needs a nerf are bad players. If you play smart, you wouldn't be dying by it as much. I can count the number of times I have died in crucible from hammer of sol on one hand. Compare that with the 15x I have been killed by the new warlock sub class( too fast to outrun) and the 10-15x from the new hunter one. Oh yeah.. Can't forget to add in all the golden gun deaths.---- am I complaining for nerfs of those sub classes? No. I would say overall there is a good balance between characters for the first time since launch and people crying nerf are going to ruin it.

The new supers all cancel each other out, between themselves they are balanced. It's when you bring in the old ones that the titans super stands out above the rest. The duration is too long, especially combined with a perk that throwing hammers reduces/uses less energy. Either lose the health regen or speed up the duration is how I see it atm. But I want to play the class to make a proper judgement. On the flipside of supers, anyone think sunsinger has become a pile of shit in pvp?? I'm not sure what they changed but no longer as good as it was
