Hey, Im only at [UPDATE: 292ish light] and I'm really looking forward to doing the raid.
I have purposely avoided any and all things about the Raid, because I wanted to experience a new raid by myself and without assistance for the first time ever. (For context, I got destiny a few weeks after TDB was released, so everyone already knew most of what to do, not to mention i was a nooby scrublord at the time).
So please, have some guardian's respect, and dont spoil it for me!
I just have a few questions for those who have been through most or all of it:
1. How long will it take me (assuming I could beat it when I attempt it), and how many "sections" are there?
2. Should I even bother trying below 295 light?
3. How epic is it?
4. How creative and fun is it in comparison to previous raids?
5. On a scale of difficulty ranging from 1 (being crota present day) and 10 (being vog day 1 of release), how hard is the raid? Judging by complexness, teamwork requirement, amount of adds, bullet sponges, and things shooting at you.
Please do your very best to avoid spoilers!
Good example: "The final part where you fight oryx has lots of enemies attacking you and involves a crapload of teamwork and communication"
Bad example: "There are [amount of specific enemies] at [specific location] and you have to [specific action]."
Please dislike spoiler posts to spare me if you see any. Thanks!

Yes go for 290 light it's not to hard, court of oryx is a excellent place to gain light. The actual raid will probably take 3 hours a lot more if your going in blind, like 8 hours lol. At the moment it's probably a 8 difficulty just cause it's new mechanics we don't know much about but should be like a 5-6 pretty soon. Overall it's a pretty creative raid, you get nice little fun creative breaks in between really tough fights which is nice. Also try to have a really good sniper.

My best advice I can give is to wait until you are at least 290-295, because otherwise you simply won't do enough damage. This goes for you and your entire team. If anyone in your team feels they are unsure if they can do it, don't bother with them. Doubts and tilt only make this raid that much harder. I haven't counted specific sections, but you're looking at a few bosses and obvious in-between puzzles. The bosses are very challenging and mechanic heavy, so don't go into it expecting to figure it out immediately, and don't go into it with someone who "thinks" they know. This is a raid where you either know and you execute, or you fail. If you go into it without anyone who knows the encounters 100% expect it to take your entire afternoon, maybe even multiple sittings. (Edit) I forgot to mention difficulty. This is much harder than VoG first weeks. Because VoG was hard do to us being unprepared and under leveled. This is mechanic based and highly team oriented. That's my help.
