It's hard to say yes. We had an entire year to get it. Bungie gave us a three month notice and extended the deadline by four days.
This was a special item that people were supposed to seek out with advance notice. I had mine as soon as they announced it. And I helped no less than 30 people through the 35 PoE to get theirs done.
I guess what I am saying is this: if you wanted it, you should have tried to get it in the three months they gave you. The only exception I have seen is the people who had their gold chests reset. That is lame. Those people need to receive their emblem.
True we did have an entire year to play the game however within that year you didn't know how Bungie was going to choose activities based off of their criteria for the MOT. However it would have been nice to know this up from the beginning of the year so a time limit wouldn't have been so much of an issue. But I understand Bungie may have just thought of this MOT or did they know for awhile and just now let us know? It would have been nice for Bungie to say ok those who played the game starting from this date to this date time frame is eligible to complete the MOT without a time limit. So that way you knew for sure it was year one gamers who deserved this.
I'm glad you helped out other destiny gamers. I did try to obtain this within the given time once I found out about it but like I said people work and have other obligations/priorities to fulfill so that's why I didn't think a time limit was a good idea for people like myself verses someone else who may have had more time to accomplish this. I was here during the first year (Alpha Beta) so I know I deserve an opportunity to achieve it and I don't have an issue working hard to earn it. I just wish they didn't give a time limit.
Anyway thanks for posting and I hope Bungie does fix golden chest issue. Congrats to you on your MOT.
