Simple question.
DeeJ said in an interview that he doesn't want us to look at our favorite weapon and consider it obsolete. I look at my Ballerhorn, Thorn, Dragon's Breath and...they're obsolete. Just a poll to see where the community stands. Bump so Cozmo can see.
Edit: Woke up to a billion notifications. Thanks for all the feedback. But you guys that say "Oh, well no because gjally never left my heavy slot." That's your own fault. There were plenty of decent heavies in Year One. You guys were too chickenshit to try them. Thunderlord and Dragon's Breath, in many cases, can do just as much damage as Gjally can, if not more. Especially post 2.0. And I don't care if Gjally stays in my inventory for the next ten years, I have a story with a weapon I love.
Edit 2: Seeing a lot of people being open to the idea, but leaving Gjallarhorn behind. In all honesty, I'm completely fine with this. Gjallarhorn is an amazing weapon, but it's lethality was ridiculous. As long as I can have all my other exotic weapons and armor, I'll be fine. Keep bumping and commenting! We've been trending for a while! Get Cozmo to see and comment on this!

4 답변Do not care about Y1 weapons. Bungie delivered and gave us Y2 weapons that are good enough to help me forget. The game has moved onto year 2. You should put down your FB / VoC and move on as well.

Yea and if they don't update them we should have the blue print unlocked automatically
because I shouldn't have to buy a -blam!-ing hawkmoon from Xur WHEN I HAVE 7 ib my -blam!-ing vault goddammit bungie
I can leave ice breaker and ghorn behind, I will do so sadly, but I understand why they should be left behind. As for the others, they NEED to be brought along with us. I hate the excuse "if they bring them on par with yr2, no one will grind for new gear or it will just be yr2 repeated". I call BS, I love my year 1s but some of these yr2 are pretty epic, And like most i want them all.

I thought it was fun having a super op weapon. Now you have to grind for weapons like these. Black spindle will be the new boss killer a long with ToM. Image from http://tgnp.me/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/tomanderson_fb.jpg.

No. Because that would mean more crutches returning from Y1. The whole point of Y2 is to get people to progress and stop holding on to weapons forever. Sadly, Y1 weapons generally have better perks than Y2 which is why, if they brought them back, nobody would use Y2 material as often. They wouldn't be doing their job if they did that.

1 답변EVERYTHING needs to have an option to be upgraded to the maximum. It's utterly baffling that there is no upgrade path for all weapons/armor. I want to use the HoW weapons, which weren't even that great to begin with, but now they're obsolete and haven't even been out that long. I never even got Lord of Wolves, but if I did I wouldn't even be able to use it for much. I never got an elemental primary weapon from Skolas, but why bother trying to get one now if a random green engram drops and has a higher number tied to it. They had a system to allow people to upgrade all items in the form of Etheric Light. I thought they finally had come to their senses when they did that. Then they didn't put in a similar system to The Taken King. Why would someone oppose being given options? Because a single weapon has a reputation for being OP, nothing should be allowed to be upgraded? The -blam!- kind of sense does that make? That means the weapon needs to be balanced, not that an entire subset of weapons needs to be abandoned.

3 답변Yes, I will never understand why people don't want the largest sandbox of weapons possible. The most common argument, "I don't want to use the same weapons/gear for 10 years!1!!" Literally makes no sense. Go ahead, use something else. Nobody would be forcing you to use anything. Maybe I want to use Bones of Eao for years, why shouldn't I be allowed to? Same with say, Icebreaker. I'm not making you use that gear, I'm making a choice to use the sane gear.
