The tether is very powerful in both PvP and PVE even if you are a solo player. It can cause rockets to do precision damage as well as fusion rifles. Clearly you have not experienced the full power of the nightstalker.
I actually think that Bladedancer needs nerfing more than anything else.
Take away blink, no more arc blade damage reduction, and the game would be much more balanced.
All yes options? Biased poll.
Nightstalker is a support class, and an insanely good one at that, much better than Defender.
If you're not good enough to play it, switch classes.
hunters just non stop complaining? The only complaints I see are hunters screaming nerf solar hammer and also screaming buff nightstalker
For god sakes just stop
I like the new subclass. The only thing I don't like is it seems that the trap just doest really last long enough. I am cool with the perks and such. Just kind of think that after you pop the arrow and trap them 45 sec just don't seem long enough to ket the kills in. On higher level mobs. Hunter beta player here.
Guess you don't about the Titan defender class.
I find the Nightstalker to be awesome.. You might be playing it wrong tbh. My friend who plays a hunter love it.
It might be weak in the killing department but the utility is by far the strongest.
Cutting off choke points, weakening entire zones, making all defenders invisible when a push happens. By far night stalker is the strongest class in terms of range and multitasking. But a pure one v one yes weak. But then again shared damage tether, smoke grenade, fire grenade and a shotgun blast to the face is enough to take out an entire attacking unit.
*Edit* by range I mean range of abilities and utility
I respectfully disagree. I have played a hunter as my main since day one. (beta if you count that) A support class is something a lot of us wanted out the gate. Remember playing VoG when folks vomited each time they saw a hunter join the raid? I will say we weren't useless, but the majority of people seemed to think all we were good for was killing supplicants.
Now we have a trap class, which is amazing! It helps the team quite a bit more noticeably. It offers add control, it can increase your teams recovery, and turn everyone invisible and you really don't take a hit to DPS. Try this: shadow shot, smoke bomb, grenade and see check the mayhem before you fire a single shot from your primary.
As for PvP, come on man whether you sling guns or dance with blades you have an outstanding super capable of utter annihilation. Giving the other classes options, I'm looking at you titans, was overdue. Dare I say With teamwork and coordination, Nightstalkers have the means to surpass the new classes as well? Yes, I will say it.
Its favorite of the hunter subclasses. I love shooting the arrow into crowds of enemies and watching them explode, it has an invisibility grenade, and the dodge is so much fun to use.
