Just got on to see what it was like without TTK... didn't realize you actually get parts of your own game taken away. can no longer buy anything from factions, you only get 1 Level 20 Vanguard Strike list, you can no longer get Vanguard Crucible legendary armor. Didn't stick around to see what else.. Is there any other games this happens in when a new Expansion comes out? Keep taking more and more away each DLC or Expansion instead of just remaining the same as you had before?

Sometimes their servers close down, but that's usually years and years later. It seems like BungieVision is trying to instill a lazy dynamic (Planned obsolescence) into the console gaming market. They don't have to work as hard to come up with innovative, and engaging new content, if they rely on breaking the old content. The new content should be so amazing that we can't help but buy it, not be the only thing viable because our old stuff has been weakened and activities blocked off. I never played MMOs, but from what I understand they never removed old content, or made things you own less powerful. They would make new content that required new gear, but your old content wasn't made obsolete.

They then broke down the original game into a 4th of what it actually was supposed to be (story wise and some content). So we paid 60 for a 4th of the storyline but received a vast majority of in game loot on disc day 1. That's fine I guess. Many were upset but we lived. They then charged us 20 more for a halfassed raid, some loot, and a few missions. HoW drops and again they charge 20 for more of the same and a couple new modes. Great! Now we are at $100 and give or take 75% of what Bungie intended to release Day1. Now for TTK. Well that's another $40. But it comes with a raid right? How many new missions? 3? How many did the game have on the day of release? So wait, we have to pay 2/3 of the original price of the game all the while they delete all the old content we paid for in prior DLCs? If I'm completely new to the game as of today, do I pay $140 for Destiny at GameStop? Nah just a cool $60 because all that old shit we paid for is completely gone. And I mean gone as in if I wanted to play through those DLC missions right now or do Vangaurd strikes, or hell even buy a weapon I can't. I'm here because I want to be here. I want to play the game. I'd rather be doing that than ranting here on the message boards. But I just don't see the sense in essentially wasting money on an overpriced expansion. And I wonder if many of you feel the same

We're not whining about how we didn't get free content, we're concerned (or whining, your choice) about the fact that features present since day 1 and introduced during the DLC (which I did purchase) are being removed.

4 답변Destiny, for all intents and purposes is an MMO. So if you want to keep playing it and be in the now, gotta buy the expansion packs and DLCs. It sucks, but whatcha gonna do.

9 답변Thank you Bungie. You have set me free... I was on the fence, about to purchase TTK, when you literally bulldozed the fence, and the entire -blam!-ing house.

Destiny is part FPS, part MMORPG, so you're just going to have to deal with the reality of what that means when it comes to expansions. A reality that real MMORPG players have been dealing with for years.

3 답변*sigh* You like everyone here when you first put Destiny into your console the first thing you were greeted by was a screen asking you to agree to the EULA (Terms and conditions) In the terms and conditions that YOU agreed to may I add, specifically stated "Bungie may change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the program at anytime. Bungie may also impose limits on certain feature or restrict your access to parts or all of the program without notice or liability. You have no interest, monetary or otherwise on any feature or content contained in the program." Now YOU agreed to this and carried on paying and playing and now they are restricting content THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD now you get all pissy. why didn't you simply sit down and spend 5 mins reading the terms and conditions. Who doesn't read the terms and conditions.

8 답변작성자: Sir_Grillalots 9/16/2015 6:08:19 PMEvery MMO follows this pattern. Every year content refreshes and progress resets. Also, you have to buy the new expansion which is usually around the same price that the base game was. The base game and previous expansions see a price drop to make it cost effective for new players to join. Those who choose to not upgrade to the current expansion get left with nothing to do, no gear to grind for, no new bosses to slay, and nobody to play with. Don't be surprised in 4 months when another $20 DLC drops though. These will be like TDB and HoW, smaller and less comprehensive than the base game or the overhaul that TTK has brought. They will effect your ability to run certain activities or playlists, as we have previously seen. This isn't a surprise anymore. It's how this industry operates. Don't like it? Don't buy their products and services.

Buy TTK. Problem solved. Bungie did nothing wrong in my book. New expansion made the old content obsolete in pretty much every way so there's no point of it even existing anymore. No different when an expansion drops for other MMO's. Sure, you may be able to still do things but that would be pointless & a complete waste of time if you are not progressing in any way.
