Depends by what you mean… In PvP which I'm assuming is your main focus they are now usable but its still up for debate whether they can out-shoot pulse and scout rifles at auto rifle range. If its even for them or worse for auto's then I'd say some more balancing needs to be done to give auto's more of an advantage in their intended range. In PvE I would need to see some numbers for DPS but I'm pretty sure they are a viable option at least for close quarters combat related areas.
