Sniping in this game is too easy
No offense to all of you who take pride in sniping and feel the need to boast about how much more skill it requires to do so then use a SG.
But seriously sniping in this game is way too easy and takes a minimal amount of skill.
I snipe ALL the time in PVP if I ever have a SG equipped then best believe I have NLB equipped also, so I can tell you without a doubt [b]Sniping in Destiny is not hard. At all.[/b]
What do you guys think.
Edit: A lot of you guys are checking out my stats and stuff instead of defending the topic.
This is my main account and I admit I have a lot of fun with it, I like to play around a 360 no scope, quick scope and do other fun challenges, these challenges mess up my K/D and stats really bad.
Had I known I would be judged by my stats and stuff the first day I bought this game I would have been sweaty since day 1.
Anyways I've decided to start using my an ALT that my friend gave me so I can focus more on stats with that account and then show you how easy sniping really is.
The ALT will be [b]TheSkilledPotato[/b]so if you are on PSN look out for that account, I'm in college and didn't bring my game with me so I'll prob get back to Destiny in a few months. I hope to see a lot of you guys sniping out there though.
Edit2: I don't make this post to brag or anything, I really just wanted to point out that compared to other games sniping in Destiny is child's play.
Edit3: A lot of people seem to agree with me, sniping in Destiny is fairly easy, some do not and that is fine.
Edit4: I just want to add that my headshot percentage with Sniper rifles is actually 67% and not .21 or whatever you people were saying.

Sniper rifles in this game are hitscan based, plus the game is stupidly forgiving on aim assist and hit detection. And recently with the ability to reroll for hidden hand things have got worse. These factors are what make sniping stupid easy.

Sniping is easy depending on what sniper you use, if it's a shadow of veils or anything with hidden hand then you're not really sniping because aa is doing the work for you, but if you're using a icebreaker, praedyth's or efrideets(no final rounding -blam!-s) then it takes some skill to do well

7 답변I use an Efrideet's Spear (WITHOUT FINAL ROUND) and still top the leaderboards almost every game, the spear has close to no aim assist, I use it because it's one of the only snipers that actually takes skill to get headshots with, most of the others have insane auto aim (especially the HoW sniper) which are cheap in my opinion. These highly aim assist snipers are too easy to use but the lower aim assist ones do actually reward skilled players, and punish less skilled players

Honestly I hate sniping in destiny, the rifles look stupid for one, that stupid scope glint, stupid scopes seriously all but like 2 are crap. So weak, they feel like they jam constantly. They have the fire rate of a bolt action yet none of the them have bolts

Nothing is hard about destiny. This is the kindergarden of all pvp shooters. I laugh at everyone who thinks there good and that flawless is somehow competitive and hard to beat. A game with no dedicated servers where consistently someone on the other team will have yellow red bars. A game where you can self revive and run for rockets cause you suck at shooting. A game that forces you to use only 4-5 weapons to be effective is NOT hard or competitive.

This isn't a fact no matter what you think. I'm not saying sitting back and either two-piecing or one-piecing an enemy is skilled but I will say that having the patience and precision to snipe an enemy from far away that's constantly moving takes a bit of skill. So yeah it's something in between.

I have to agree. One of the first times I picked up a sniper, I was pulling off close quarters shots, ridiculous kills and stuff. Couldn't tell if I was a natural or it was just too easy. Now all I use is my LDR, my Longbow, or my benevolence.

5 답변sniping in most fps games is easy once you learn how. No fps game does sniping take any great amount of skill. Not CoD/BF/Halo... none of them take any high level of skill to snipe and do well.

2 답변I'm not sure why you're surprised that your stats would be judged. Saying sniping is easy and then having a 20% precision kill percentage doesn't make sense. If I was saying how underpowered hunters are in PVP and my hunter is 6.0 kdr then that isn't really helping my case.

I think the main problem is they basically throw special ammo at you. If special was more scarce, the maybe no land beyond and universal remote would be more viable. In the current state of things, most people can run their special exclusively without worrying about ammo. If ammo was more scarce, it would not matter how easy sniping is.

4 답변Bf4 and bf3 were the hardest games to snipe in IMO. Geeze who remembers the suppression in bf3 where you get shot at once and your shots just go everywhere. Now that game took some skill.
