If you are talking about the hardest to use at its max potential then voidwalker. If your talking about hardest to carry crucible with then defender. If your talking about hardest to complete endgame pve content, I might say bladedancer but I am not sure cause end game pve is sooo easy.

Pve easiest to hardest Sunsinger because obviously. It's a crutch subclass Blade dancer because invisibility Defender (you aren't invincible in your bubble even with Saint-14. If the ai starts the animation to Melee they get to finish the Melee before they are blinded) Void walker- their life steal Melee plus the ram Striker- shoulder charge is useless grenades aren't too great in pve Gunslinger- really only good for killing ads or one major with celestial nighthawk, most perks are dedicated to increased dps PVP easiest to hardest Blade dancer- highest aim assist super, can blink with super, and hungering blade. Not to mention easy mode arc bolt grenade, ranged Melee with blink strike, and quick draw. Sunsinger- broken warlock Melee with by far the best grenades of any subclass. Grenades with Viking funeral can burn players almost all the way down. Can eat golden gun shots with the ram and radiant skin. Void walker- tied with sunsinger. Broken Melee, blink, ranged super. Axiom bolt is skilless. The ram is the most broken armor piece in the game Gun slinger- my personal favorite subclass. Melee that rewards skill, but difficult to use. No blink. Only one decent grenade that can't kill a high armored guardian. Golden gun is great but loses to striker, radiant skill warlock, and has no armor buff at all. Striker- despite the saltiness of cost of havoc it kills the least amount of people per super use. Have to be close to use it. Lightning grenades are great, but don't make up for low base recovery, low agility, and lack of blink. Aren't tanky enough to make up for lack of agility. Defender- super has no real offensive abilities and can be destroyed by GG, striker, nova bomb, and razors edge goes through the bubble.

How is defender hard to use?

Why defender? It's hard to use sure but not as hard as something like blade dancer or gunslinger where pretty much anything can kill your super

Defender. I don't use it, but my friends have said many times Titan is a challenging class, and defender only pays off if you are skilled with it
