I want to show you what some squeakers go through. We're not all bad people. And not all of you are instantly superior to us because you're older. I wanted to tell this story for a while now and this is one of the reasons I hate the destiny community. I was doing a VOG raid. I hopped in and there I was with 3 grown men, a woman, someone underage he sounded around 15, and me. As soon as me and the 15 year old (I'll just call him Dave) joined in it was complete silence. I said "Is anybody there?" I got a response from Dave and that was it. I said "Do you 4 have mics?" I got a response of "Shut up you stupid kid I'm listening for the Oracles" from the woman. I didn't know what to say. This was the fastest I've been insulted in a raid. Dave told her not to be a toxic player. She asked him why his grimore was 2600. Then she answered the question by saying because you're new, don't know how to play the game, and probably begged your parents for it. One of the men finally speaks up and I presume that he's her husband because he says "Ooh Burn. Now shut up scrub" I really do want the chance of getting a Vex Mythoclast so I stay with the raid group. As does Dave. They wipe because they forgot about the hidden left oracle and all got marked. So they tell me to go down and kill the oracles there. I start to do call outs and then. "Shut up you stupid crinkle kid! Just listen for the oracles if you took any music class in school you shouldn't have to do callouts at all." ...... What should I have said here? Well I didn't get to say anything because Dave answered immediately by saying "Jesus Christ woman calm your tits" She immediately snaps back with "wow you sexist cursing child. Don't you dare use his name in vain!" At this point I don't know what to do! It's like reddit came to life and I just joined their fire team. I told her that saying Jesus's name doesn't make it a curse word She told me to go -blam- myself I said that if she really felt the need to curse and insult a kid she really must have got her priorities wrong. She told me that she doesn't need crinkle kids like me and Dave and kicked both of us. I see later on the forums she posts for 2 people for VOG no kids allowed. Edit 1: I know that most of you aren't like this and that I just had one bad experience, but This is just 1 of the reasons I don't like this community sometimes. I kinda just wanted to show you what some of the squeakers have to deal with. Edit 2: you guys have proven that idiots are in every age group. But I've been told that it's for the best if I avoid the older people and stick to playing with people my age. Edit 3: It's nice to see that people have some sympathy. I do have an raid group. They had just finished VOG when I got on that night. They're all people about my age so... Thanks for the offers but I'm going to stick with my group. Edit 4: I don't feel the need to ask the first question to the adult community anymore. This will just be a telling of what Squeakers go through. Edit 5: going to go browse the forums for a little bit. Looking through crucible threads. Lol I don't really want people insulting me about my average 1.2 K/D. I'll turn off my privacy settings again in a little bit.
