What's so great about hawk moon.
Has basic impact and a chance for a two shot headshot. Why are Playstation fanboys so obsessed with it?

I would say most people obsess over it because of the fact all three rounds could stack and one shot a guardian. After the nerf however, those people who used it that way have gone and pitched fits on the forums. I'm still looking forward to getting my own hawkmoon.
