Or even still, if he is evil, wouldn't he welcome his fellow heathens with open arms instead of torturing them? It really does make no sense. I personally think that any belief that has someone putting the wants of their god over other human beings is in fact stupid. It's a toxic mentality I wish we could let go of.

작성자: chill 10/28/2015 11:24:32 PMNo. You tried to simplify it and it didn't work. God punished the first man and woman because they disobeyed him. His own creation did not acknowledge his command. They thus fell from Grace and separated themselves from their Creator through disobedience. Not just eating a fruit the way you say it. God provides a chance of redemption through himself in the form of his Son, Jesus. Why did God disallow eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge? Not sure we don't have the answers to every detail. Some scholars believe it led to loss of innocence. Well why then did God have that tree in the garden? Why was the devil allowed in the garden? Perhaps it was to test the resolve of his creation, first man and woman? Or maybe not. We can keep going on but these questions won't ever have answers and it is not critical to the rest of the faith.

God Cursed Eve with menstruation God prevented Adam and Eve from passing On said knowledge to children. God Made Adam and Eve and first few dozens generations of children commit incest to populate earth with a added bonus of making sure the knowledge Adam and Eve had would be hard to understand even if they did manage to pass it on.

1 답변Like, 90% of it is stupid, yeah. There's a couple good lessons and morals buried in there, but then again those thing aren't unique to Christianity and is basic human decency.

2 답변First of all, we don't know if it was a fruit. It was probably the knowledge of good and evil. It was likely sex that they partook in. Second, God set us here with a free will. He gave us that not wanting to make us follow Him and do everything He says, but to follow Him because we want to.
